A great place to stay for the night or longer. The room was clean, bathroom good and nice balcony with stunning views. Breakfast was great. Wi-fi could be stronger. But the management was exceptionally nice and extremely accommodating. Highly recommend!

Quirky but beautiful area and wonderful staff.
This is our second stay here as it is conveniently placed at the end of the Furka and Grimwald passes. This is not 5 star or Swiss run (Dutch hosts) but is reasonably priced (for Switzerland) and the rooms are clean and basic. The reception might put you off, not the most efficient. They serve evening meals which look fine or a plate of fries, whatever suits you. Breakfast is a basic continental with good coffee. We love this hotel because it is unique, quirky and in a fabulous location. Enjoy!

The Hotel is OK but had great difficulty finding it. Put the address in the GPS and I was lead to the neighbouring village. Google maps has it wrong. I was told many people have this problem. It should be corrected by Google maps. Very unfortunate and very frustrating. Once at the hotel all is good.

IT IS HARD TO TELL WHETHER THE HOTEL IS GOING DOWN OR WISHING TO COME UP. IT IS A BIT RUN-DOWN, UNWECLOME, AND MORE A HOSTEL WITH IKEA-TYPE FURNITURE THAN A HOTEL. THE AMENITIES ARE MEAGER, THE WIFI DID NOT REACH THE ROOM, THE TV HAD ONLY FOUR CHANELS. IT DOES HAVE THE VIEW OVER A WIDE VALLEY, AND THE SUN SHONE BRIGHTLY OVER THE WALLIS: THAT WAS FROM NATURE, NOT FROM THE HOTEL.,

The owners are very nice. It is much better than what I have expected. The room was with nice nature view. Clean, comfortable and cozy. My son really like the dog there. The dog is very mellow. whenever he saw you, he gave a silence look to his owner who would know immediately that someone was looking for him/her. Very nice experience and a sweet memory.

Poor excuse for a Hotel
NO BED SHEET. Just a mattress cover and a comforter.Ā  Which means you are sleeping in direct contact with the comforter on you. This means there is no sanitary protection between you and who knows how many sweaty, naked and otherwise which have come in contact with it.Ā  I tried to explain this to the owner but she insisted that that's the way it is in hotels.Ā  I said to her NO THAT'S NOT THE WAY IT IS IN HOTELS. I've travelled all around the world for the last 40 years and this is the FIRST TIME EVER that I've slept in a Hotel with no bed sheet. No internet in room. Had to sit in front of lobby desk even though it's only a 4 floor hotel. Owners dog roaming the ground floor and growls at you whenever you come and go. No internet in room. Once you leave in the morning you are not allowed back in until after 3:00 pm. At best this place is a notch above a hostel and shouldn't be classified as a Hotel. Very unprofessional conduct.

Fairly basic for the price
It's a bit out of the way up a windy lane and to be honest the room had a slightly musty smell. Dinner is available (good because your in the middle of no where) but it's fairly basic home cooked food. Overall the hotel was nice but I feel it was very expensive compared to what you get. Nothing wrong with it just basic for the price.

Great Service!
This is a charming hotel to stay in. We were in a really nice room that overlooks the mountain. The hotel also has their own restaurant which is convenient. Good food and great service. Peter, the owner was really kind and helpful during our stay. I also had an issue with the bill afterwards and he was helpful in getting it all clarified and adjusted accordingly. Great place to stay. Will recommend this hotel to friends!
