Upscale Cabin in Blue Ridge Mountains

Welcome to Buena Vista!

Buena Vista is a newly-constructed, upscale mountain cabin set atop a private ridge near Banner Elk at an elevation of 4,200 feet. The cabin offers stunning long-range, layered year-round views of the Blue Ridge Mountains from the numerous open-air decks and has amenities to keep the whole family entertained.

This home has an open floor plan, dual master bedrooms with private decks, hardwood floors, tongue-and-groove ceilings, an updated kitchen with stainless appliances, an induction cooktop, and above-and-below cabinet lighting.

The dining area can seat up to eight (8) people, with additional seating at the center island for two (2) more. Guests will enjoy an incredible view from the living room through the wall of windows. The living room features a newly installed natural stone, floor to ceiling, gas log fireplace, a wall-mounted HDTV, and a Home Max sound system.

Venture downstairs to the huge game room and movie area with a slate 9-foot pool table, games, and an entertainment system. The downstairs bedrooms also have HDTVs and a Nintendo Wii. The lower deck also features a jetted hot tub with overhead bistro lighting.

Fiber optic, high-speed internet means reliable internet service. All bedrooms and TVs also have Chromecasts installed so you can stream your favorite shows or movies.

The land around Buena Vista has marked and unmarked hiking and walking trails, and the 14-acre property is yours to explore. Although you may feel remote, Banner Elk is only four (4) miles from the cabin, Valle Crucis is only five (5) miles away, and Boone is less than half an hour. Sugar Mountain and Beech Mountain are both within 10 miles. Grandfather Mountain and Linville Falls are also nearby.

Very dirty

Coffee left in coffee maker, floors were very dirty, dirty dishes left in dishwasher, trash around perimeter of property and under beds, couches etcā€¦ food wrappers, dust bunnies and other misc items that hadnā€™t been picked up in awhile. Property would have been okay if it was properly taken care of. Neighborhood wasnā€™t very nice. No yard for kids or animals to play in.

This house was in a great location and the layout was perfect for 5 adults and 4 children. The downstairs gave a place for the kids to hang out and the pool table was great to pass the time. There were a few snags to our stay but property management was very responsive. Overall great place to stay.

Wish it had a few more upgradesā€¦

The cabin has a lot of high-end touches but needs a touch-up. One couch has a hole in it and needs replacing, the kitchen is greatly under stocked on pots, pans, storage containers and cooking utensils (good ones). We own a beach rental property and understand how the property is depleted as the season progresses, so I would suggest the owners visit mid-season and replenish the stock. Also, it snowed and when we called the number given for property management to ask about having the road scraped, no one knew who to contact to get this done. We received no answer back from them as promised either. Also, the hot tub is not hot enough; and the soaker tub insideā€”the hot water heater will not fill it even one- third full. Cabin has a great view and location is excellent in that it is centrally located to many ski areas and restaurants. Overall, we had a good time, but I would choose a different cabin next time.

The house is so beautiful. Everything was nice and clean. Our family of 12 had a wonderful time. The house is roomy. Stocked with everything we needed. We would definitely recommend this house to everyone.

Only issue was there is an alarm that went off on Monday and Wednesday nights at 9. Sounded like the noise that goes off when you lock the front door. It would be good to know what that is. Otherwise, it was fabulously beautiful and private.

The Best Mountain Vacation!

The house is perfect in every way. The view is better than I could ever explain. The house has everything my wife and I needed for a very relaxing week. We were able to forget about normal life for a change. All the amenities are wonderful. We took enough food for the week and never left the house. There are instruction books for everything such as TV operation, hot tub operation, fireplace, etc. This was awesome and made it so easy. I have no negatives for this property. We are already going to book for later this year and again next year.

This spectacular cabin had incredible views in a private secluded setting. We hosted a Memorial Day family and birthday celebration and it was perfect! Great Location and Awesome Cabin!

This was an overall excellent stay, there some quirks with the cabin that we found a little interesting like the trash situation, but overall no complaints with this cabin. It has a great layout, plenty to do, and an amazing view. We brought our dogs and they also loved the property! We had some delays in contacting on the day of check in, but this is likely due to the volume of business the properties owners had during this weekend. Aside from the slight delays the team was helpful and responsive. Do yourself a favor and go ahead and book this one while you can!

We loved this cabin! The views are just spectacular!! Cabin is super spacious and comfy. Had everything we needed, kitchen is well stocked. The kids enjoyed their own space downstairs. We fell in love with this area, will definitely come back!!

Ski weekend

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Buena Vista, and it truly is a "good view"! 3 families, room for everyone. House was as advertised except the fireplace wouldn't work. In all fairness, we didn't speak with the management company about it so they didn't have an opportunity to "make it right". Kitchen and laundry both fully functional and plenty of room for multiple chefs! Beds were comfy and well made up. Management company personnel were friendly, it was just difficult to get in touch with them. Always a lengthy delay to speak with someone. You can leave a message, but it took quite some time to hear back from them. Kids (9-15) enjoyed the lower level as their own hangout and adults hung out upstairs - perfect!!! We'll certainly be back!
