This beautifully wood paneled cabin is nestled in the heart of the blue ridge mountains. It is located close to town and is the perfect retreat for couples or families seeking escape from hot summer days, or simply want to relax! Walking in you will be greeted by beautiful vaulted ceilings and tons of natural light! The living room is equipped with a beautiful fireplace, and a HD TV. In the kitchen you will find top of the line stainless steel appliances perfect for cooking! Both bedrooms have on suite bathrooms, tvs with Roku/Firestick for streaming and plenty of storage. With two queen beds 4 can sleep comfortably. Reasonably priced and tailored to vacationers' desires, Mountain Mystique is the perfect retreat cabin for you!

*Please note: Roxanna St is a gravel mountain road. There is a steep area near the top. During inclement weather a 4 wheel drive and/or chains may be needed. No refunds due to weather conditions. If you don't feel comfortable driving up, you can park at the bottom and walk up to the cabin (approximately 1/4 mile)

*NO pets; only officially trained service animals are allowed.

*There is one security camera located by the main entrance, allowing view of the driveway and entry door. There are no cameras located inside the house.

Wonderful time
This house was a cozy, lovely place to stay. They had plenty of nice things to enjoy such as a grill, fireplace, porch lighting, tv access, full bath, and lots of kitchen amenities. My partner and I had the best time and would definitely recommend. The driveway was a Bit of a challenge at first but it’s was worth being up in the woods for.

Perfect spot close to Boone for a Getaway
Mountain Mystique was a perfect, quiet getaway near Boone. The town was only 15 minutes away, but we enjoyed being up high with nice view through the trees. Inside was well kept, comfortable and homey. Great base for our vacation.

Driveway was a little more steep that I thought. But my front wheel drive didn't make it up.need AWD
It was peaceful, cozy, relaxing, just all around beautiful place to stay. Looking forward to staying in this beautiful cabin again in the future. Had everything you needed from the kitchen to the bathrooms. The grill was a plus for cooking out on a back deck. Love the rocking chairs and watching the hummingbirds feed.

My family went to Boone for your daughter’s App State orientation. The cabin was the perfect plans to relax after our day of exploring Boone and the App State campus. Quiet, peaceful, clean, and cozy! If that sounds appealing, then you’ve found the right place. This cabin feels completely tucked away, but you are only a very short drive to all Boone has to offer. As some other commenters have mentioned, the driveway is a bit intimidating, but slow and steady will get you there without any issues. We will definitely book this cabin again for our next mountain getaway!

We didn’t get to stay because we couldn’t get up to the cabin. Weather was terrible but we didn’t even get all of our money back. I booked through Vrbo and the host confirmed the stay. I really don’t agree with not giving back the money for the cleaning fee and the host fee. They didn’t host us or have to clean the cabin. This really needs to be reconsidered and give our money back.

House was in a great location and only 15 minutes from Boone. Very nice cabin with fire place and well stocked with everything we needed. We went up on a snowy weekend 6+inches of snow and could have asked for a better time. Owners were in touch several times to make sure everything was ok and if we needed anything. Highly recommended.

My husband, kids (9 & 5), and I had a wonderful stay. The cabin is very cozy, clean, and the kitchen was very nicely equipped (I was able to cook a somewhat fussy dinner without issue). The owners were very responsive. The listing is upfront about the steep drive, so my only recommendation is to take it seriously. There was just enough ice that we parked at the bottom of the street and slid a few times walking up. Fine for us but not for individuals with any health or mobility issues in winter. Overall a very comfortable property and close to town if needed. Would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at your cabin. It had all the conveniences of home. We really enjoyed the wood stove because it was an unusually chilly weekend. The beds were not super comfortable but were okay for two nights. The Coffee pot needs to be replaced. It took a very long time to brew a pot of coffee. Other than that everything was in excellent working order. For the moderate price, we thought that it was well worth the money!
