A bed for the night whilst enjoying the Airshow.
This accommodation is in a student hall of residence and is not a hotel. However although the room was very basic everything was very clean and the bed was comfortable. There are no facilities to eat at the venue so you will have to find local alternatives.

Only best on a budget
Reasonable value for money, but definitely the vibe of a student room over that of a hotel room. Fine on a budget but otherwise for an extra £10 or so would prefer to stay somewhere else.

Poor
I don't normally leave reviews but I owe it to people that have yet to book a break and warn them about this hole. We booked a late holiday and this was the only place available. It's not a hotel it's student accommodation. We paid around £250 for a 2 night stay. I wish I stayed home instead. The rooms were filthy and walls were dirty. There were clumps of hair in the hall way of the rooms. We had 3 young children with us and always had to make sure they had their slippers on at all time because the floors were minging. The fridges had left over food from previous guests and the bins stunk. The staff had blanc impressions on their face when we asked if our rooms could be cleaned and mopped. The night time was awful, the students were so loud till early hours of the morning. The only good thing is that the showers were decent. You can have a shower and feel clean before stepping out in the filth. The beds felt like the padding had been slept out of them. We were literally sleeping on springs. Should of just booked a bloody travel lodge. At least you know what your getting.

Book elsewhere if possible
The staff were very helpful but this is student accommodation with shared facilities (although the room was ensuite). The biggest problem was the design of the building where the windows opened a mere crack (in 30 degree heat and no air-con) and certainly do not comply with building regulations (its a relatively new building) which requires 15% of the floor area to be openable windows for rapid ventilation. We were loaned a fan which helped but still uncomfortable. The mattress was also on its last legs with springs going boing as you turned over. It was also annoying when the window was open (ie ajar!) where we obviously had a weed smoker nearby (we were on the 4th floor) and the smoke was being drawn into the room by the fan. They also congregate outside the entrance to the building and across the road which just brings the place down Im afraid. We came from Southampton where we had been staying for a week in a Premier Inn with a large room, large ensuite, air-con and a television for exactly the same price for the week and hence it was doubly disappointing......so much that I tried to re-book Premier Inn and simply lose what we had paid for this room, but Premier was fully booked otherwise we would have gone. I cant recommend this venue for families or anyone who doesnt like smoking, its just not up to par for what is being charged.
