The Space:
Sleeping: Bedroom 1: king bed (sleeps 2) - one level up from the main floor; Bedroom 2: queen bed (sleeps 2) - main floor where living room and kitchen are located; Bedroom 3: two twins (sleeps 2) - street level; Bedroom 4: captain’s bunks with queen and twin (sleeps 3) - street level; Additional Sleeping: queen sofa sleeper in living room (sleeps 2) - main level; Additional Sleeping: full-sized futon adjacent to the master (sleeps 1-2) - one level up from the main floor.
The Neighborhood:
Paradise Ridge is located near 4 O’Clock Road and is just across the street from the Snowflake lift and in the heart of Breckenridge. It is also an easy 5-6 minute walk from the shops and restaurants of downtown. Important! 2 parking spaces only. There is room for one regular size car inside of the garage and one car/truck outside of the garage.
Getting Around:
No need for a car in this location. Walkability is wonderful! The Snowflake lift is located less than a 2 minute walk from the front door (just across the street), is surrounded by hiking trails, and is an easy 5-6 minute walk to downtown Breckenridge!
Other Things to Note:
Cancellation Policy: Once the reservation is confirmed and the first portion of the payment has been made, those funds are non refundable. The remaining balance will be due thirty days before your arrival. Once the balance is paid, that portion is also non-refundable. If the ski area shuts down or a public health order prevents us from hosting you during your reserved time, you will be eligible for a full refund or will be able to reschedule. About the Owner: We are excited to share our home with you. We are a family of five, from Boulder, Colorado with deep roots in both travel and skiing. For the 2017-18 school year, we pulled our kids from school and “worldschooled” them through Nepal, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, New Zealand, China, Costa Rica, Italy, Switzerland and Greece. In most of those places, we stayed in short-term rentals and deeply appreciated this more connected way of travel – a way of travel that helps you live more like a local than a visitor. When we returned to Colorado after our trip, we began searching for a mountain getaway that we could enjoy ourselves, as well as share with other travelers. We found this spot in late 2018 and fell in love with the rustic log touches, the cozy family room and the location for tweens’ and teens’ growing independence. We updated the kitchen and bathrooms during the 2019 mud season. Why Breckenridge? Annika’s parents met in the lift line at Squaw Valley, and she was a second-generation ski patroller. The family fun that comes from skiing and low-tech time in the mountains brings us closer. We enjoy summer hiking, all the festivals, the historic town and, of course, the world class skiing.
