These two delightful properties are adjacent to one another and share an enclosed lawned garden, barbecue and a raised area with sun loungers. They are tucked away in a quiet corner of the quaint little village of Moorlinch, which has a popular pub, a 13th-century church and easy access to many local attractions and scenic walks. The cottages have been renovated to a very good standard. Townsend Pod (ref UKC1911), formerly the cow shed, is a detached, single-storey contemporary barn conversion boasting a wood burner, so you can cosy up on those winter evenings. The open plan living/dining/kitchen is very light and spacious, with full length windows, and the bedroom has fitted wardrobes. Townsend Pod also has a separate seating area at the front, next to the shared entrance path. The Stable (ref UKC3708) is set over two floors and offers a cosy and more traditional style retreat, with some lovely features such as an electric wood burner and open views from the large window in the first floor bedroom. The cottages are located around the corner from the popular local pub which serves food, and close to some excellent walking areas. The properties make an ideal base from which to explore nearby Glastonbury, with its abbey and tor, the site of the battle of Sedgemoor, the city of Wells, with its magnificent cathedral and Bishops Palace, and the World Heritage city of Bath, with its Georgian architecture, great shops and restaurants. Other attractions include Stonehenge, Cheddar Gorge and caves, Wookey Hole, Dunster Castle, Stourhead and Hestercombe Gardens, which are all within easy reach.
