Charming, clean, perfect location
Our family of 5 (aged 18+) had a wonderful stay in Chalet Esther, Brienz. The weather was perfect while we were there, so we spent most of our time exploring the whole area. But, we always came home for dinner together. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook (no microwave), and grocery stores were easy to get to. We are a tall family, so be aware that anyone 6 feet tall or more will be at risk of hitting their head often. We lovingly referred to Chalet Esther as our dollhouse as low ceilings and doorways made the space feel tiny. But, the location was worth it! Close to the sea, the 2 train stations, and food shops, on a traditional and beautiful street. No washing machine, do plan accordingly.
