Terrible Hotel
First off, we arrived at 2pm which was the exact check-in time and the place was deserted of any staff. Tried communicating with the Hotel with no success. Since both me and my friend had no line to call and the Hotel didn’t have whatsapp. We waited about 30 minutes untill I decided to use the phone that was on the reception desk to call the number. A lady answered and said someone was on the way. A man arrive about 10 minutes later to check us in. Everything seemed ok, aside from being slightly on edge. After taking a tour of the room and the shared bathroom. We quickly realized this wasn’t gonna be the nice and comfortable retreat we were hoping for from the reviews. The bathroom/shower was absolutely filthy. The room was extremely humid with broken windows that we could not close properly so mosquitoes and flies would invade our room at night. There seemed to be no isolation in the walls as we could hear our neighbors speak very clearly. The television that the room came with was unusable. And despite the Hotel offering 24hour reception. No one was ever there except for the manager’s son sometimes in the evening who couldn’t do much without having to call for help. We then decided to ask to change our stay from 4 nights to 2 nights to change to another part of the Cameron Highlands and hope for a nicer stay but they were no help despite telling us that it shouldn’t be a problem if we do it through Hotels.com. Which was ultimately refused. So we left without a refund.
