As a sometimes user I found the Metro Very good. No complaints. Room was clean, comfortable and easily accessible at any time. Under cover car park is good. I felt safe which is important to me as an older woman alone. Staff were very helpful, polite and friendly.

Very nice ,in the middle of Ipswich,very close to the art gallery & museum, good restaurants around , lovely in-house restaurant and bar ,very helpful housekeeping staff. We had a great stay and would stay there again

Nice place to stay except I ordered room service and the burger was cold. I asked for another one and it was the same. I feel the burger, bacon and cheese must have been frozen and reheated but not hot enough. Couldn’t eat it as worried I might get sick.

Central, quiet and nearby quality cafes
Pros: We have stayed here before and will do so again. The design, layout, facilities, toiletries and tea/coffee making are OK if you accept a few minor inconveniences, i.e., it’s difficult to fill the electric kettle as it doesn’t fit under the sink tap. Cons: In our room (504) the shower was over a bath and there was significant mildew around the bath/tile joint, not a good look. Furthermore the paint and plaster were peeling off the wall beside the window, ditto for looks. A bit of attention to detail would put the class back into what is actually a pretty decent hotel.
