Katydid Hospitality, LLC presents a touch of Europe in the Great Smoky Mountains, just an hour's drive from Asheville. Our unique getaway features a gorgeous year round view of the Smokies, unique architectural details (check out our enormous antique church doors!) and luxurious hot tub.
Enjoy a meal together at our large dining table, relax with a glass of wine on our scenic patio, then have a sunset soak surrounded by mountain vistas.
Upon arriving at Katydid Hospitality's Italian Villa in the Smokies, you are greeted by a scenic mountain view, traditional european leyland cypresses, and the feel of stepping into another country! Open the 8 ft rounded front door and step into 12 ft ceilings with cathedral peaks.
Once entering the home, you are welcomed into a large living space. The living room area features a smart TV, wood burning fireplace and comfortable seating.
To the right of the living room is a large dining area with full kitchen with of all essentials needed for your stay - stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, Keurig, and more. The table seats 8, so plenty of space to spread out for a fabulous meal!
Next, the home boasts a oversized chairs in front of arched windows overlooking the mountains! Perfect for a cup of coffee or a great book.
In the far corner of the living area, sits a table perfect for games. Scrabble, chess... a closet full of games awaits your arrival.
Off the living area is a full bath with standing shower and stackable washer and dryer.
Enter the master bedroom through antique, arched church doors to a king bed, private bath with jacuzzi tub and private exit to the patio.
Enter the second bedroom off the living area to two queen beds and arched windows with mountain views.
Once at the back of the home, you will find a traditional European patio complete with a hot tub. Depending on the time of year, flowers may be in bloom making the view breathtaking. Enjoy the garden at the patio table, which seats six, with umbrella for shade on sunny days.
Pets are welcome at our home for a small one time fee of $30. We provide a pet bed, bowls, dishes, and towels for cleaning their feet. We do reserve the right to increase this fee if more than one pet is staying in our home.
WiFi is not the best in this area. We do provide the best service offered in the area, but it does not always perform well. Guests have used personal MiFi’s with better results.
Parking is to the left of the home and can accomodate three vehicles.

A paved road to a gravel driveway leads you to our Italian Villa. Four wheel drive is not necessary, but it is a mountain road. From November through February, very low riding cars might have trouble. Our parking, however, is flat and there are only two steps leading into the house.
