An Authentic Clean & Cozy Maine Homestay

This private, animal-free* home, managed by Nifty Bug Rentals, has been refurbished with a brand new kitchen, bathroom and laundry room. Originally ‘The Priest House’, parts of the home date close to 100 years. Guests feel the pulse of a New England community while maintaining a feeling of coziness and privacy. Conveniently located near Tilton's Market, Post Office, High School and more. 4 to 5 Guests can comfortably share this rental with 2 bedrooms and a third optional bedroom. Wifi and Apple TV included. Please note that the AC is not central air conditioning. There is a new air conditioner in the upstairs master bedroom and the loft and living room have ceiling fans. To keep our cleaning fee low on our full cottage, we charge an additional daily fee of $10 per person per stay for more than 2 guests. Infants staying with a couple in the master bedroom are not included as additional guests. (*Due to severe allergies, our listing is an animal-free zone. We are unable to safely host guests who travel with pets or service animals. Thank you for your understanding.)

The house is very cute, in a good location for peace and quiet. It was kind of boring, and we tried to find the beach or something to do and there really wasn't too much. We wished we had brought some games or something to do. The owners and managers were very nice and super helpful.

Our stay at this property was excellent, start to finish. Priced right for the location and the amenities, the place was everything as described. Comfortable bedding, flexible sleeping arrangements (3 bedrooms) and well equipped. Communication with the manager/owner was easy and quick. Highly recommend this property for a no frills experience. About an hour drive to Sunday River resort where we skied.

We came in for a wedding. So much better than staying in a hotel. Plenty of room for everyone to get ready, have time to theirselves etc. There was an iron and board so we all looked our best. Just really enjoyed it.

A week away
We stayed for a week. It was great. Quiet, cozy and clean. Bed ate comfortable, kitchen had all the necessities, and a few extras too. The perfect place to unwind and just get away from it all. Yet only a short day trip to Portland, Bangor and many other small coastal towns.

The process from beginning to end was smooth and the host was very pleasant and helpful. Everything was labeled in the property and the property itself was cozy and very welcoming. My friend and I get together a few tomes a year to scrapbook and the space was great . The home is very clean the beds were very comfortable. The only thing that we were a little disappointed with was we could not get enough hor water for a nice soak in the bath tub.

I loved everything. The only thing I would suggest is putting a sensor light in the driveway. It’s very dark at night being country. It would be easier to back out of the driveway. Definitely will be back.

Michael is a great host and the home was wonderful. We truly enjoyed our stay and the home made our trip perfect. Very clean and well laid out home. Decor is updated and everything worked well. Laundry room upstairs was a nice add on. Love the wood work throughout the home. Small market and take out store just minutes walking away. Location is very central to other activities and seeing our friends. We just wanted to get away, slow down, see a few friends and family, and focus on relaxing. Great home.
