Ideal for a short stay
Found our experience at Broadway met our expectations. Friendly staff and very helpful. Ideal stay for a budget break. The location is great. Close to metro which is the best way to get around Budapest. A number of nearby bars and eateries.

Terrible nights sleep!
Stayed for one night in a ground floor twin room. Constant banging and loud voices throughout the night made it difficult to sleep. Other guests stood outside the window of the room talking loudly and smoking throughout night (smoke coming into hostel room so also smelt bad). Cleaning staff came in to the apartment early in the morning and shouted at each other from different rooms, making it impossible for guests to sleep in beyond about 8 (we had a late flight and arrived in the hostel at 2am so this was not ideal). Reception was vacant for quite long periods of time and check in was slow. Took a long time to get served at the hostel bar as staff were sat with their friends rather than doing their job. Coffee was stone cold when it did come (half hour after sitting down at bar!). One bed was also broken: every time you moved it creaked loudly waking both people in the room up. The room was at least reasonably clean. This place was cheap, but have had much better nights sleep at cheaper places and there are other Budapest hostels that offer better value.

I could hear really loud music coming from somewhere nearby... unfortunately I found it difficult to sleep. I have changed rooms at the same hostep for my next reservation, beginning today. So, maybe the other room will be quieter at night.

Two minute walk from the Opera House
Simple, inexpensive hostel a few steps from the Opera House. Friendly & well kept. Nearby night spots can be pretty noisy all night long.

nice hostel close to all the action
This hostel is in such a great location for walking everywhere, down to the river, to walk along andrassy, next to the opera house and such. I stayed 3 nights and the second night I was awakened by loud pumping music (it was a Monday night)so I was awake from 2 until 430 am. The other nights I slept fairly well. So I was not overly bothered but if you would be , then I suggest to stay somewhere else. I stayed in late April. Had the cubby all to myself, meaning there was nobody on the lower bunk in my room. The security is a bit questionable, because they dont check your keys when you come in and there is no locks anywhere except on your locked cabinet.

Walk to the HSO in two minutes
I go to Budapest regularly, mainly for the Hungarian State Opera - quite possibly the world's single greatest value for money, when it comes to opera. All I need is a clean, cheap bed for the night, nearby - and this is it. I can walk from Broadway Hostel to the gallery entrance of the Opera House in about two minutes. The only downside is that you're right in the middle of Budapest's night-life, which can be pretty noisy, way into the early hours. If you're looking for quiet, you might want to look elsewhere.

My stay was very good. Staff were helpful and friendly. Floors could have been washed better in the toilets but was otherwise clean. There is a quiet amount of club music but listening to my own mp3 softly with headphones was more then adequate to cut the soft noise. The location is excellent, close to shops, food, opera, metro, west mall... as a woman travelling alone I felt totally fine in the hostel and in the area. Definitely recommend it if you don't want to pay for a hotel.

Right Next Door to the Opera House
If, like me, you're just looking for a cheap place to stay the night while attending performances at the Hungarian State Opera, look no further. This is it. Very basic hostel in exactly the right place. I can walk from the front door of this hostel to the gallery entrance of the State Opera in about 90 seconds.

Great location but very noisy
Lovely hostel tucked away right next to the Opera house. Very good central location 5 mins walk from the tube with lots of cafes and eateries on your doorstep. I found the external noise level to much which kept me up. It didn't stop all night until the sun came up. I would recommend the use of ear plugs to try and block it. Also the beds were very hard and as I sleep on my side I found this very uncomfortable.

Mínimo necesario para descansar
Los espacios son pequeños y hasta un poco incómodos (habitación, regaderas, baño, área común), pero cumplen con la función. La chica del front desk muy seria que parecía molesta. Tiene su propio locker, toma de corriente y luz de lectura, agua caliente. Lugares turísticos no tan cercanos, pero fácilmente llegas caminando. Es un lugar regular para un par de días.
