A budget hotel of good location
A budget hotel which is close to most transportation hubs for example main train station, local train station, bus stops, metro stop, a shopping mall and eateries within walking distance. Room space is large. Area leading to reception is kind of stuffy. Toilet is kind of spacious.

Warm friendly staff helpful and polite
Close to the area of Budapest I wished to stay at so very convenient. Unfortunately could not stay there all 3 nights in the end due to a leaking/ burst pipe. Was accommodated close by for a decent match hotel/ higher facility etc. Hotel sorted booking and covered transfer cost etc. Was a little stressful as only there for 3 days but was looked after by the Metro so cannot fault the service and care.

Not worth the money.
Room size is okay. Breakfast is extremely out of expectation. Bath is very very worn out. The most advantage is location, very close to subway, train, bus and tram.

Excellent friendly hotel
Excellent hotel, just by one of the central Metro stations. The staff are friendly and helpful. A good standard of breakfast, comfortable rooms and generally good facilities. Overall a smashing budget hotel.

Short break in Budapest. Great hotel
Great hotel, brilliant staff, we arrive late due flight delays which was OK no issues, room was big clean and comfortable, breakfast good cold cured meat, cheese's, yoghurt, coffee, lots different tea's, fresh orange juice buffet, Staff helpful polite good English. I will use this hotel again when I visit Budapest. Location great metro tram close by parliament building 15 min walk, the island 10 min. Prefect location to see sights I will be using the hotel again

Good value, right on a great metro line
The youthful staff was very helpful. The room itself was fairly plain, but clean and had all I needed for a rest stop while on vacation. The stand-up shower was fine, with plenty of hot water. The neighborhood isn't the most vibrant that Budapest has to offer, but there were a few restaurants and pubs around as well as some convenience stores for water and snacks if necessary.

Decent hotel with nice staff thatt talks good English. Rooms were fine and clean. No aircondition made it very hot in the summer however. Otherwise a decent hotel for the price.

3 star is generous. Staff didn't replace the used teacups all week and despite blood on the sheets (walking accident) didn't change the sheets. Room is like an oven without air con Very average hotel- though close to main bus/tram/train links

Pro's - Good location very close to city, Friendly staff who speak English, Good sized room, WIFI was good Con's - Room is quite dusty, Bathroom didnt have any towels and no toiletries, the bathroom had a bad smell, the bed had inadequate quilt covers, they did not clean the room daily. You have to pay for breakfast and have to pay an extra service charge which is not included in the hotel fee, No air conditioning in the rooms, the area is not very nice with homeless people sleeping right outside the hotel which was quite disturbing, the shower was not very hot and lukewarm at best and the shower head is very low down so difficult for short people.

Budapest on a Budget
I wanted a hotel close to a conference I was attending at the Hilton City Budapest but at a fraction of the Hilton cost. I was delighted to find Hotel Metro just around the corner which was clean, comfortable, cosy and welcoming. The staff are brilliant and friendly. The €3 simple breakfast was a bonus. I would recommend a stay here.

Traditional hotel in a great area.
Rooms were clean and comfortable, staff was friendly, and there was no street noise at night. I would recommend this hotel for a weekend break in Budapest.

A rough diamond and great at off-peak price!
Lovely staff as always, but as I've come to expect from this hotel, the bathrooms vary quite a bit from a lovely walk-in tiled affair to a plastic white shower tray with brown staining with a fixed non height-adjustable shower head holder that doesn't hold the shower head properly with a cheap shower head with sprays rather than showers you. Also, while the rooms themselves are always gorgeous (they really are very nice rooms!), the tea/coffee-making facilities are meagre and usually I end up going to reception to ask for something, be it a different kind of tea, or to get (more) sugar. This time, I went prepared and took my own tea-bags and sugar only to find I had no tea-spoon! This was of course quickly and very courteously rectified by Reception :)) At the price however, I absolutely love this hotel with all it's foibles and with its fantastic location it keeps me coming back time and again!
