The Happy Feet Beach Retreat is literally a stones throw to the stunning Dunsborough beach front and town centre with cafes, shopping, restaurants, kids play park and the famous Dunsborough bakery all at your doorstep. We are also pet friendly with a large secure backyard, so the whole family can enjoy their stay.
This 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom home is ideal for 2 or 3 small families or a group of adults wanting a home away from home. (can sleep 12 people with the use of the sofa bed)

House review
Beautiful property and i loved that my dogs could come stay with us in prep for our wedding. House was super clean with fresh linen and towels in all the rooms. Easily accessible with the lock box:) Was slightly disappointed with four rolls of toilet paper for the entire house that sleeps 10 people. We had to buy more whilst we were there, same with dishwashing liquid as there was nothing left in the bottle to use.No sponges or cloths to clean dishes with. Nor anything to clean the bbq with, which is a checkout requirement if used. So bought those and left the sponges there for next guests and paper towel. Aside from small things which we live and learn from, the overall stay was great and would stay there again if need:)

Great location and property
The property was ideally located for both town and beach. Family of four adults, one child and one dog were very comfortable with a very relaxed feeling, we thoroughly we enjoyed our stay. We had an issue with the AC, but the iProperty Manager sorted this out very quickly. The house had most of the comforts of home. There were a few things that we thought would make life easier, especially in the colder months:- Indoor airer, washing on outside line didn't dry properly. An airer would have been handy. A lock on front door flywire, so that dog/children weren't able to get out when front door was open. Flywire on backdoor would have been handy. When AC was being looked at, we noticed that filters desperately needed cleaning. As did some cobwebs. I was in the upstairs bedroom, but had to move downstairs to share room with nephew as I found the mattress not firm enough for me. Please don't be offended with the things we picked up on, they're only incidentals to a very comfortable well positioned property. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return sometime in the future. Donna - hoped you and your family enjoyed your O/S trip. Great stay!
Had a great stay. Was lovely and cozy and beds very comfortable, with great kitchen and bathrooms. Very close to town and beach. Perfect location! The only thing we would fault, is that the main window in the lounge was pretty dirty. As in hadn’t been cleaned for quite some time. I know it’s winter and the salt from the ocean is hard to control but it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks….also there were a few cobwebs round the window on the inside so it’s been overlooked for a while. It’s a small thing, but with the cold and wet weather we spent a fair bit of time in the living room so it stood out.

Spot on location
We did enjoy our stay. Great location - close to town and beach. Neat and tidy. Only would say that the house itself is smaller than expected. It does sleep 10 however with only 5 of us staying it was the limit with the lounge and dining areas. There was a second retreat area but can be very noisy with open plan. Back yard good for dogs but front is on a corner and not enclosed so that was tricky with dogs.

Absolutely suited our last-minute short break away with family and our 2x dogs - the back yard is perfect for pets and relaxing with a cuppa. Easy walk into town and along the beach paths. Overall a lovely holiday break.

Property was good for our family. A couple of things need attention,1/ kettle needs cleaning or replacing. 2/ kitchen tidy bin doesn’t pull out easily. 3/ upstairs was different but good, it does need a light in the ensuite as it is very dark at night we had to use a torch.

Great family holiday house
This is a great place for families wanting a holiday close to beaches and shops. The property has all the basics necessary. We loved watching the bird life in the back garden and appreciated the short drive to beaches at Meelup and Castle Rock. It was one of the few places able to accommodate our extended family for a holiday together.

We had a relaxing holiday at this extremely well located house! Cosy and well fitter out, we had everything we needed for wonderful quick get away. Easy walking distance to the beach and shops, it was so lovely to have our dog frolicking in the water at the beach and strolling through the parks, enjoying every moment with us! Overall the house was comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. Just a couple of suggestions..all doors should have screens as we wanted to let fresh air in but the flies were coming in too. Also it was hard getting into the bathtub for my elderly mother to get in and out of the shower. Also the sprinklers came on at about 2am and it woke me up. Perhaps a more reasonable time would be about 5am. These are some suggestions but overall it was very central, clean and comfortable. Thank yoy Trish

We had a really lovely stay. Enjoyed being so close to the beach and town. Everything we needed to cook in the house and also so close to all the local restaurants to walk in for dinner, so many options. Lots of rooms and space for the family to spread out and relax. Wished I could stay longer!

Property was amazing and just what we needed it for, plus such a good location right next to town and the beach. A few small things that made it a bit inconvenient - allows for 10 people but there's not 10 chairs for people to sit and eat, we ran out of toilet paper (and almost bin bags), there was no recycling bin and the other bin was full on arrival so we could not dispose of our rubbish correctly (and the book says we incur a fee if we leave rubbish behind). Other than that, the house has so many appliances, kitchenware and many other items that made the stay pleasant.

Great Escape!
A great little spot in the perfect location. A 2 minute walk from the beach and 1 minute from town. The stay has everything you need and is well maintained. A good yard for the pups to relax and explore. Relaxing on the balcony with a cuppa as the Pink & Greys play in the trees out the front; "How's the serenity?" The host was easy to contact and we will stay here again.
