The beach road down the hill about half mile is lined with eateries and small grocery stores and shops.
The area is known for beautiful beaches and temperate weather year round.

Share the morning Breeze with flocks of toucans and parrots
Hammock out and be lazy with a sloth
Have morning coffee with the agoutis, while looking for green iguanas basking among the bromeliads on the limbs of the giant rainforest trees.
During the annual Great Bird Migrations in the spring and fall there is no better place to watch the raptors by the thousands passing by. It is an amazing sight to witness hours of hawks, vultures and smaller raptors gathered circling in the thermals…it’s a bird party!!!Best of all because we are at the top of the ridge the action takes place all around us..
Wake your adventurous spirit and take a hike in our woods.. Look hundreds of feet up into giant walking palms and rare old growth hardwood trees bigger around then cars, dripping with bromeliads and vines. Stop, be quiet and listen to the jungle symphonies of the tree frogs, birds and crickets.
Our primitive trails wind through the canyons and ridges of our forest, cross cool creeks, and lead you to deep jungle.

GETTING HERE
If renting a car to travel to Dancing Tree, a four-wheel drive will make your vacation hassle free. It will be worth extra cost for the access to places such as parks and remote beaches, many of which have rough roads. .Our hill is steep ,and when wet 4x4 is needed
Some folks don't rent cars and use local tuktuk mini taxis or the bus, which passes by each half hour on the beach road .
The ten minutes walk up to the house is strenuous, so keep that in mind
A stay at Dancing Tree is a one of a kind experience.. It is not a hotel or just a vacation rental...its a rainforest adventure for your family and friends. I guarantee you will be amazed.
Dancing Tree is self-supporting. Our guests rental payments help us pay to preserve the adjacent primary and secondary forest lands.
Without your visits I could not afford to do this.
Habitat is disappearing rapidly, we are intent on trying within our power to help our rare and fascinating jungle neighbours to have a place to be
Pura Vida!
