The room was ‘tired’. The lamp shade was cracked and ready to crumble. The bed was a bit soft but ok. The couch was faded and worn. The curtains were bunched on the floor because they were too long. The shears were shabby. There were no face cloths and there was a sign saying that face cloths were available at the front desk. NOT. The man at the desk said that no hotels in Scotland provided face cloths. Not true. I got one in the Holiday Inn Express Inn Inverness the week before! A lot of money for a rather shabby room. The bathroom was good tho I didn’t use the shower so cannot comment on that. The hot breakfast was excellent. Wish that the hotel would accept cash. But I have a credit card so there was no problem……just had to take my coins elsewhere to spend.

Very noisy & not just the planes
For a hotel close to the airport you would expect better windows to reduce noise but the planes weren't the main source of noise. The fire doors for the corridor our room was down were left open and so the noise from the bar was very loud until late. Also there was a horrible loud noise coming from the shower drain at random periods and every time we, or the room next door, used the shower. Overall, the hotel is what you expect for a budget hotel and we picked it due to it's proximity to the convention centre next door. It's noisy, uncomfortable and the food isn't great but it's location was perfect & all the staff were friendly and helpful

Good stay near the airport for an early departure. Area is right next to the airport so you can hear take offs and landing if you face that side of the property. Good clean rooms and we got a room early which was extremely appreciated. The area has nothing nearby to access minus some small shops in the airport you’d need to either eat at the on site bar or Uber in food/go into Edinburgh city. All in all a good stay!

We took the bus from The train station in Edinburgh. It was about a mile walk to the hotel, and we weren’t expecting that. it would’ve been better for us if we had taken the bus to the airport and then a taxi to the hotel.

I did not the location of the room we had. It was room 5 and the shuttle bus drives by a lot and you can hear people rolling their suitcases by the window at all hours. The rooms have no soundproofing it seemed to me as we could hear people in the next rooms conversations.

The hairdrier,electric heating did not work also the kettle to make coffee did not work and there was no hot water in the bathroom sink despite a notice warning very hot water. Apart from all that the bed was very comfortable and I did receive an early morning wake up call.

Coming from theist, the GPS could not locate the hotel and we set the address 3 times. We were taken to 3 different spots, all from 200-800 metres out. Coming from Edinburgh Airport, a couple of days later, we found it easily after the airport link bus dropped us off about a kilometre out. We walked to the hotel. Thankfully we had dropped our bags a couple of days before.

Accommodation average but too pricey for what it was. Our room was adjacent to the main entrance which meant we could hear guests arriving through the night. Unfortunately every shuttle bus stopped outside our window so any sleep we needed was denied. An adequate breakfast was available which was a bit of a relief. In future we won’t return here thanks
