[THE RETREAT]
Shades of Blue Eco Retreat is a holiday house, perched on a hill, with about 200 metres of absolute shell beach frontage. You have 15 acres of undulating land to explore. It is situated in a rural setting, amongst the rolling hills of the Calca farming area, over looking the beautiful Head of Baird Bay inlet, on the beautiful Eyre Peninsula of South Australia.
The entire house is eco friendly. Its powered by a stand alone Solar Powered System with a backup silenced generator. The house is supplied by pristine rain water caught in various large rainwater tanks around the property.
[THINGS TO DO]
You can walk down to the beach from the house and swim in the shallow waters. Beach towels are also provided along with a picnic chest, kitted out with all you need, including drink coolers, for either picnicking down at the House Beach or taking a trip to Murphy's Haystack's picnic grounds, or the various surrounding beaches.
A two person kayack is available to enjoy the serenity on the waters, and take in the views of the cliffs and the surrounding bay beach area.
Or if preferred, a tinnie can be launched from the private beach, and after a 5 minute or so motor through the marine park, you can enter the fishing zone of the Head of Baird Bay waters, where you can catch garfish, or whiting, for the night's meal.
