Breathtaking Views Holiday House with Heat and or Air conditioning System

A beautiful fully equipped holiday home, built in 2005 and located in an attractive village situated in the south west of the island. Accomodation recently upgraded with modern furniture, comprising 2 + 1 bedrooms, all bedrooms with adjoining bathrooms, kitchen and dining room. Children are welcome. We have a cot, high chair etc. All rooms and bedrooms have large glass patio doors with access on to balconies where one can enjoy the panoramic views of the mountains, ocean views and sunsets.

They provide a perfect place to relax with a cool glass of wine after enjoying a day out, perhaps on a local levada walk or if you like the idea there is even a paragliding school a mere two minutes from your door.

The price includes all utilities, heated and or air conditioning system on the whole house.There is also Internet access (Wi-Fi) free of charge.

We had a brilliant 2 week stay at the villa. The views from the balconies were amazing both day and night. The house was very well stocked with everything you could possibly need! The beds were extremely comfortable. The house is up a windy road and you do have to park on the road but we had no issues at all. Thank you!

Fountain of Youth
This home in Arco de Calheta is the perfect location if you're looking for a beautiful, affordable place to unwind after an active day. First, the house is beautiful. The views are magnificent. The home is completely stocked with everything you'll need to enjoy your stay. It serves as a great hub to explore the best parts of the island. If you're an active person looking for hiking, sunrise viewing, swimming in natural pools, and other adventures, you will find all that within reach. To be fair, this is not "Club Med" You will need to rent a car (this is my personal opinion, as there is a reputable taxi service available.) Driving here takes some getting used to. There are many steep hills, narrow roads, and hairpin turns. Parking anywhere on the island can be challenging, but if you get going early, you'll have no problem. All that said, I should mention that I'm 70 years old. This place is like a fountain of youth. You can go all day, return to a beautiful home, take a hot bath, then sit out on the deck with a glass of wine and enjoy an awesome sunset. Maybe feel like a young person again.

This beautiful property and view was one of the best places we have ever rented. The house was spacious, clean, comfortable and just enjoying the view was a highlight of our trip to Madeira. The hosts have thought of everything and were quick to respond to any questions with great advice. Perfect stay and we loved being away from the hustle and bustle of Funchal.

Even Better Than Expected
I specifically wanted to stay in Arco da Calheta since my mother was born there. As it turns out this house was a mere 200 yards from her childhood home. Although the pictures in the ad for the house were appealing, they don't do the views justice. The house was spotless and welcoming. My only regret is that I didn't meet the host even though they live across the street. I simply wanted to thank them for sharing their beautiful house.

Great experience, amazing views.
This house is in a great location with stunning views, through the whole day and night, is very well stocked with everything you could need and more, coffee, tea, condiments, towels, bedding, making it easy to live and settle in here. The heating, cooling/aircon and hot water works perfectly, if you have a car it’s easy to get to, very close to nice beaches and areas, and a good position to explore the rest of the island! Without a car you could still manage - although you will struggle to walk many places, there is a shop at the end of the road, and the taxi driver recommended in the houses guide book, Antonio, is all around brilliant, reliable, charges reasonable amounts and can tell you about many things you wouldn’t find yourself. Overall, we had a great time staying at this house and in this area.

Perfect base for exploring Madeira
Rosa's house, high on a hill in Arco da Calheta, is everything it appears to be on the website. The glassed-in porch made it possible to enjoy cool spring evenings and feel as if we were outdoors. We easily traveled to all parts of the island from this base but always enjoyed returning home to watch the sunsets over the sea. This home makes for an incredible Madeira vacation.

Beautiful house with amazing view around the clock. Peace and quiet, close to nature. Tasty food in local restaurants, especially in Ponta do Sol. Beautiful and exotic flowers all around. So do fruits and vegetables. Great hiking. Warm ocean. Everything positively. I highly recommend this place.

Relaxing stay guaranteed!
Fantastic place to stay if you want to be close to the nature (plenty of trails in Western/Central Madeira) and services available in Calheta, Ponta do Sol and Ribeira Brava. Be just aware the car is a must and it's a bit colder than at sea level. On the bright side: zero mosquitoes. House is perfectly clean, well-equipped, quiet, and the views are impressive - even if the weather is not perfect you can admire the clouds, rainbow and sun spectacle happening in front of your terrace and living room, with occasional paragliders passing by. Rosa is a fantastic host, she is a walking encyclopedia of Madeira so do not hesitate to ask if you want to get the most accurate info about the island. Overall: highly recommended.

Amazing view. Very nice house fully equipped.
Wonderful views of ocean, village and mountains from all rooms, facing West. Landlady very helpful and friendly and speaks english well. House has 2 large bedrooms upstairs. 3rd bedroom is small with single bed (we did not use it). Nice, quiet and cozy house very well equipped including A/C units everywhere. Need a car for grocery shopping. Strongly recommend this rental.

Stunning property
Very comfortable and well equipped house. Everything is spotlessly clean with lots of thoughtful touches, such as the very welcome local produce on arrival. We especially enjoyed sitting in the sunroom in the morning and early evening, to take advantage of the stunning view.The house is very quiet, with occasional very distant sounds from the town below. The weather was unusually wet, windy and foggy during our stay, but we were very warm and snug in the house regardless. Highly recommended and will be top of the list when we visit Madeira again.

Fantastic property in fantastic location
Initially the drive up to the property was a bit scarey, but have driven all over the island we realise now how easy the drive was. The property has a excellent position, about 1000feet above see level, from the verandah you have a perfect view over what looks like a miniature model village of Arco Da Calheta. The property is lovely with everything you could want. Thanks to Rosa and family for a fabulous experience.

BEAUTIFUL House with AMAZING Views - The best!
Just got back from a wonderful trip to Madeira Island. We had the privilege of staying in this home for 4 nights. (We would have stayed a full week but it was booked for part of the time we needed.) The house has EVERYTHING you need and more. It is located at the top of a hill, surrounded by other homes, but with a beautiful view. The closed in sun porch is amazing! We were able to watch the sunset each night. It was a chilly week but on the sun porch, it was nice and warm. For the meals when we didn't eat at a restaurant, we enjoyed eating them on the table on the sun porch. So lovely! The bedrooms are all large and beautiful. The bathrooms were large and have everything you need. Very clean, and warm colors all throughout the house. Rosa the owner lives right across the street so if you ever need anything, she is right there. She had left some nice little treats for us when we arrived and some things in the fridge to get us started which was so helpful and appreciated. We enjoyed looking down over the town/village and seeing the cars driving and hearing the church bells and other sounds and feeling like a "local". (The sounds were not too loud and were not bothersome - they were actually pleasant.) The house has an amazing viewpoint outside where you park your car. We sat there the last night after dark and watched the ocean and the lights on the hill. It was dreamy!! About the location, we really enjoyed staying in Calheta. We had a rental car so it was easy to get to this town. There are so many beautiful places to visit on the North and West sides of the island and this location was very convenient for visiting those areas. Rosa's English was so good, I would have assumed it was her first language but it wasn't. She was very helpful when we had questions about parking in the business area and about grocery stores etc. I cannot say enough good about this rental property. I would highly recommend! Thank you, Rosa!

Lovely House wit Stunning Views
This is truly a lovely and spacious house with everything you need for a relaxing holiday, we stayed for one week in early June but wish we had stayed longer. The friendly owner lives nearby and is there to help if required, she also provides a welcome gift pack which was well received. A perfect base to explore the island during the day and later sit on the terrace to enjoy the views with a glass of wine. Highly recommend.

We spent a wonderful holiday in this holiday home, which is really equipped with everything. At the end of October we were able to sit in the open conservatory or outside on the terrace a few times, with an indescribable view. We were out and about during the day, which is almost a shame. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt in diesem Haus. Der Blick ist wirklich wunderschön. Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet was man sich wünscht. Die Selbstversorgung fällt nicht schwer, denn es ist alles vorhanden. Parkmöglichkeit auf der Straße nach der ortsüblichen Methode. Auto sollte vorhanden sein. Zur Begrüßung gab es einen leckeren Wein und Bananen, die dort ja überall wachsen und einfach toll schmecken. Der Kontakt zu den Vermietern war sehr gut über Email bzw. Fewo-App und es wurde sehr schnell reagiert, wenn Fragen auftauchten.

Tolle Wohnung mit mega comfort
Wunderschöne Wohnung mit mega Wintergarten und toller Aussicht. Super Ausstattung, super bequeme Betten und tolle Bäder. Alles vorhanden für den Start in eine tolle Woche. Supermarkt paar Minuten entfernt mit Bistro zum Essen, ganz günstig mitzunehmen wenn man zu faul zum Kochen ist. Guter Ausgangspunkt für den Westteil der Insel. Kommen bestimmt wieder. Wintergartentraum...Alles perfekt
Das ist ein Traum. Alles da was man braucht. Sehr sauber. Die Lage und die Sicht aus dem Wintergarten ist traumhaft. Leider konnten wir mit zwei Personen nicht alles nutzen. Wir haben uns selbst gekocht und dafür ist die Küche perfekt. Hochwertige Geräte...Dazu ist man sehr schnell auf der Hochebene. Nur das Wetter war nicht ganz optimal aber dafür kann die Wohnung nix.

Angefangen von der sehr guten Kommunikation über die Komplettausstattung des Hauses bis hin zum sagenhaften Ausblick hat alles gepasst. Sauberkeit einwandfrei und ein Begrüßungskuchen und eine Flasche Wein war auch dabei.. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis passt hier eindeutig. Eindeutig zu empfehlen!
