Casa do Pombal is a restored rural house integrated in a quiet rural area and is ideal for families and groups up to eight people.
The property includes a traditional Madeiran house with stone walls, swimming pool, terrace, balcony, garden, portable barbecue, car parking and other facilities.
The swimming pool is private and exclusively for the guests of the house.
The house is 156 m2 and comprises four bedrooms, four bathrooms, living room and kitchen.
It is equipped with dishwasher, washer, dryer, refrigerator, cooker, microwave and other utensils, as well as bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi, TV with international and children’s channels, and other amenities to provide a pleasant and relaxed stay.

LOCATION
The property is in a rural area near the village of Calheta, where there is a beach and many restaurants and cafes.
Calheta is located in the southwestern part of the island, which has the best weather conditions in Madeira.
A few kilometres away there are stunning cliffs, mountains and Laurissilva forest for nature lovers and hikers.
Nearby you can enjoy many outdoor activities such as hiking, paragliding, mountain biking, surfing, fishing and other nautical activities.
A small grocery shop and cafes are available within walking distance. Larger supermarkets and restaurants are available within few minutes’ drive.
The property has easy access to the major roads.

REMARKS
We are available to provide support during your stay, to recommend places and activities you may like and to find solutions for your needs. We can recommend activities to discover the island off the usual tourist circuits.
A car is recommended, but there are bus stops nearby. Free car park is available in the property or on the street.
Swimming pool is not heated but is open all the year and can be used if the weather is favourable.
Cleaning is done before guests check in and then there is a weekly maintenance cleaning, which includes the change of bed linen and towels. To increase the frequency, an additional cleaning service must be requested.
As it is a rural area, there is potential for noise caused by dogs and other domestic animals in neighbouring properties. There are also insects in the surroundings that can be attracted by food scraps.
The accommodation is officially registered, meets the requirements to ensure safety and comfort, and has complaints book controlled by the competent authorities.

CONDITIONS
1. Parties or behaviour that disturb the peace and well-being of neighbours are not allowed, especially between 10 pm and 8 am when neighbourhood noise is prohibited.
2. An online check-in form will be sent to collect essential identification data for check-in, arrival time and means of transport, which must be submitted by guests at least two days before arrival.
3. Self-check-in with flexible arrival time is available via a key lockbox whose code is created and sent on the day of arrival. For face-to-face check-in, it is necessary to schedule the time and the waiting time is 60 minutes, after which a new time can be scheduled according to our availability.
4. Guests may be required to present identification upon arrival and provide missing identification details to comply with legal requirements.
5. The number of guests must be informed in the reservation and can be changed up to the limit of the capacity of the accommodation with an additional price. From 2 guests, the price increases by up to 10% per guest.

Beautiful Oceanview Rural Home
We had a wonderful stay at Casa do Pombal. Sidónia let us check in early which we really appreciated. The house is exactly what I was looking for with great views and a traditional feel. We had six in our party and had plenty of space inside and out. The kitchen was well stocked. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. It's a short five-minute walk to the church and easy access to the highway for driving excursions. I returned home with very fond memories of my stay there and will definitely return!

Very nice house for family holidays
The whole family (3 gen.) enjoyed the stay in Casa do Pombal. The no. of bed- & bathrooms was perfect. The location a bit away from Calheta's 'tourism' in the hills (with a beautifull view) is calm and very relaxing.

Die Begrüßung in der Unterkunft war sehr Herzlich, wir durften früher einchecken ohne Mehrkosten. Das Haus wurde uns gut erklärt und wir haben auch noch kleine Geschenke bekommen. Leider mussten wir dann im Verlauf einige Mängel feststellen. Diese wurden von der Agentur zügig beseitigt. Die Ausstattung in der Küche könnte umfangreicher und Hochwertiger sein. Die Lage des Hauses ist wirklich Traumhaft und wir waren sehr gerne Gast. Auch der Checkout war sehr unkompliziert und auch hier durften wir länger bleiben ohne Mehrkosten.

Schönes Haus, super für Paare oder 2 Familien mit Kindern
Sehr schön, sehr groß, gute Lage für Ausflüge. Gestört hat allerdings eins Pumpe, die dich nachts sehr häufig eingeschaltet hat und sehr laut war. Es war zwar noch sehr frisch morgens und abends und alles etwas klamm, doch standen genügend Heizlüfter zur Verfügung!
