Beautiful mountain and sea views, free wi-fi, private pool & games room

Our Villa has its own private, South facing, swimming pool (9m x 4m) and beautiful sea views, with tiled patio bathing area, sun beds, umbrellas and outside shower. Pool towels are also provided. NB: Swimming Pool access is via steps down to the lower level. The pool will NOT be shared by 2 different groups.

All our 5 bedrooms are large and spacious; 3 rooms have large king-sized double beds, 2 rooms have single beds (one with 3 the other has 2). All beds have foam mattresses to ensure an excellent nights sleep. The bedrooms are located over both floors - 2 on the lower floor (with the games room area) and 3 on the upper floor with main living rooms.

The living room has a private patio with amazing mountain and sea views, perfect for those evening drinks when all the village lights come on below. The spacious family kitchen has a large solid wood kitchen table and chairs, microwave, cooker and fridge/freezer and a very well stocked selection of pans & cooking utensils.

The second floor open plan living area comprises of a games room, BBQ private patio, a small BBQ kitchen and shower room. Whilst this living area is completely separate from the other floor, with itā€™s own entrance, it has an connecting staircase to the upper floor (with lockable door) so is ideal for both large families and groups of friends.

NB: The villa will be rented as either a 3 - 4 bedroom villa or a 5 bedroom villa, therefore the swimming pool will *not* be shared by 2 different parties/groups.

*** Our Villa has a Games Room available for all bookings. It includes table-football, full sized Pool Table, darts board and card / games table. ****

The villa has free wifi internet and is within easy access to good levada walks.

The property is situated in banana groves and built on the terraced mountainside in a peaceful & tranquil hamlet.
The two local cafƩs are a 5 minute walk away. There is also a great children's play & picnic area nearby too. The local village is a picturesque 15min walk with bars, a shop, church, post office & cash machine.

LOCAL Activities: Paragliding - has become quite famous in Madeira because of the fabulous views and beautiful locations. One of the great locations for this sport is Arco da Calheta - 10mins from Casa Vista do Ledo - because of itā€™s frequent good flying conditions all year round.

DIVING- A great place to go diving is off the coast of the small village of Madelena do Mar which is 10mins - 15mins drive from Casa Vista do Ledo.

The BEACH and MARINA area offers plenty of sports activities to, from water sport rentals, dolphin spotting trips, to beach Volleyball

Mumā€™s 80th birthday holiday was fabulous
Booked Casa Vista do Ledo for a milestone birthday for my mother, straight away I was informed about the steps in the villa as Emma wanted to make sure my mum could manage them. (She could by taking her time and using the hand rails!) The villa itself comes equipped with everything our group of nine needed for the stay. Emma and Qium are excellent hosts and respond to any messages or worries extremely quickly. The house has an amazing view down to the ocean that I never tired of watching. My mum had a wonderful time, the rest of the group echo that view and I had to prise my two nieces from the pool to get them on the plane home. Thank you so much for making our holiday memorable.

Wonderful villa with fantastic hosts
Quim and Emma could not have been more friendly, welcoming and hospitable, from the off we felt comfortable and at home. The villa, which is in a quiet neighbourhood and has spectacular views of the sea and village, is beautiful, spacious and clean with everything one needs for an enjoyable and relaxing holiday. The games room and pool were particularly appreciated by the teenagers in our party! The local supermarket at Calheta marina is excellent, with lots of fresh meat, fish, fruit, veg, bread and cakes. Arco da Calheta suited us perfectly as a quiet base for exploring the west of the island, but it also doesn't take long to drive back east to the bustle and tourist attractions of Funchal. We had a superb week at Casa Vista do Ledo, thank you!

Large, comfortable villa with amazing views
We had a great week staying here. It's spacious, with comfortable beds and everything else you need for a large group. The owners are very helpful and Quim even welcomed us there at 4am after our flight was horrendously delayed (beyond the call of duty) and helped in other ways too. The views of course are incredible and although it is up a very steep hillside (like everywhere in Madeira) we did not find the drive there difficult even in the middle of the night. It is well lit and the roads are good. The only slight quibble is that one of the upstairs bedrooms has glass bricks through to the lounge area so if you want to go to bed and someone still has the lights on in the lounge it is still pretty light in there. That is our only minor complaint though.

Absolutely stunning!!
We recently came back from our vacation at Casa Vista do Ledo and we already canā€™t wait to go back. The house was beautiful and clean and the Correia family was extremely accommodating. We had a group of seven yet never felt cramped as the house is huge! Arco do Calheta is a beautiful town and the view from the house is absolutely stunning. We rented two cars, however, the roads can be difficult to navigate. As a result, we used the taxi driver recommended to us by the Correia family, Nelson. We would highly recommend driving with Nelson rather than renting a car, even if you are used to mountain roads. He was very kind and funny and taught us a lot about the beautiful island that is Madeira. Casa Vista is a beautiful home in a beautiful town that I highly recommend visiting. The people are extremely kind and warm and the nature is breathtaking.

Nice house on wonderful location
Pool with a view, flexible and nice owners, they live on the highest floor but thatā€™s no problem at all, good communication, nice walks and beaches in the neighbourhood. Weā€™d definitely come back !

very beautifull house, perfect for groups
The stay in Arco da Calheta was very good, the house is beautiful and well furnished for a group. It was easy to visit Madeira from Arco de Calheta. The view is amazing the swimming pool too ! There is a supermarket at 10min by car so it's easy to do the shopping Quimm and Emma are very nice and helpful it was easy to have the keys and to give them back. As a summary : it's a very good address ! Anne
