We really enjoyed our stay. Little comforts made the difference.Bathrobes, fresh coffee bought to room and wine glasses. They have a destination charger for both Tesla and electric vehicles. One small thing for improvement. Hot tub could have done with emptying and having a good clean as it was green.

In room coffee pot didn’t work. Housekeeping didn’t come during stay. Coffee delivered with breakfast was cold and cups were chipped. Room location view was not pleasant and too near next door bar which was loud.

The hotel itself worked great for our road trip. It was a nice location, walkable to many shops and restaurants, the pool was nice and the room was small but comfortable. It is an older building so a little creaky with thin walls and you can hear a lot of other guests quite clearly. Was a bit sad the spa was closed on Tuesday and Wednesdays but there are other spas in the area nearby.

My ground floor room had one privacy glass window that I could not see out of making it feel a little cave-like. I was only staying for one night, otherwise I would have asked to be moved. This is a classic place that shows its age. The bathroom and shower could use a deep cleaning. I did enjoy the natural spring water hot tub which was large enough for many people. The free coffee delivery along with a piece of fruit and banana bread was a really nice touch at my specified time. There are great hiking trails and amazing restaurants nearby. Overall a great stay and I would stay again, I would just hope not to get the same room next time.

The staff were exceptional. Courteous attentive and informed about the area. The hotel itself was very clean. The view looking out the window of on room on the first floor was not good. I did not expect a view since it was the first floor and because we reserved it through Expedia, but looking at garbage cans and constant traffic of maintenance people back and forth was not pleasant. We were not in the room much and we kept the blinds shut. Overall I would recommend the Mount View Hotel and Spa. It is in a prime location.

Solid choice-could use new life
For a budget friendly option in Calistoga that is not a motel, this is a solid choice. It just seems that the hotel has given up. That is the vibe. They have the same furniture from almost 30 years ago and it just feels dead. The complimentary delivered small breakfast-I cancelled after the 2nd day-coffee was cold. Not worth the effort. The petite queen rooms (121 & 122) are in a hallway with no soundproofing and bright lights seeping into the room. Pluses: The pool is clean and the hot tub hot, open 24hrs which is so nice! bed comfy, but they wanted me to bring the wet pool towel back up to the front desk? At nighttime. there is an EV charger in the back of the hotel. The customer service of all staff I encountered was great.

Lovely property with good sized rooms. Like that the room had a small fridge, expresso machine, and robes for guest use. The jacuzzi was great! Loved the natural hot spring! Also loved getting coffee, breads and fruit in the morning brought to our room!
