Donā€™t book this property like I did after reading reviews
Booked cabin weeks in advance. I even sent a message days before our trip after reading the most recent review that the owner canceled their trip last minute. I reached out asked if reservation was still all good to go. Hours before our arrival he canceled. I was already on the trip hours from home with my family with no place to go. Thank goodness I found another cabin in about 15 mins. This one seems sketchy and not run properly.

Never got to stay
We reserved this cabin in July for a 10-year anniversary in October. We traveled 3.5 hours to stay only to find out once we were in the county that our reservation was canceled due to a hot water heater issue. We had nowhere to stay and it wasn't easy to find somewhere to stay that wasn't already reserved. The owner did reimburse us but I think he owed us more then a reimbursement. A free stay another time would have been more of a sincere apology.

We Loved Our Stay At Stillhouse!
Can't say enough good things about the cabin and our stay. It feels secluded and the views are amazing, yet there are neighbors nearby (but out of sight). It was very clean and well-maintained/updated as well and we will definitely be returning.

We drove three hours to get to a property that we rented that at the last minute was told they canceled on us knowing they had problems without telling us before we left or we wouldā€™ve made other arrangements

Quiet getaway
The cabin was very private and quiet. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the deer come to feed. This is a very rural area, so you will not find all of the typical chain stores or restaurants. Bring your own food and cook at the cabin. Eat on the deck and enjoy the quiet.

Quick Trip
We went down for the night to do the kayak trip. The cabin exceeded my expectations. The property was huge and very nice. We got wood for a fire from the tree line but it ended up raining. But we enjoyed that under the covered porch. It is a great place to unplug.

The cabin was just the cutest thing! We want to come back again and do a book retreat! The only only thing was there was no wood for the fire pit. We had to go buy wood. Other than that it was a wonderful stay. Very clean, new , and updated. Wonderful experience.

An honest review
The property was great. We spent a lot of time on the porch. Check in would have been delayed due to cleaning had we arrived on time, however, the first thing I did was vacuum the floors due to dead bugs in the main space and hall. The futon mattress wasnā€™t the best for sleeping but I made do. I recommend a mattress pad of some kind to make it more comfortable. Iā€™m not sure why the listing has sleeping room for 8, the space would fit 6 comfortably if you sleep 2 per bed and 2 on the sectional. To sleep 8 you would need to bring your own air mattress to setup in the living room. Overall we had a great stay.

Great hideaway cabin
It was a great cabin. It was just what we needed. It was clean and comfortable. We found everything to be satisfactory. My only suggestion would be to list the property as a one bedroom with a loft. If im not mistaken itā€™s labeled as a 2 bedroom. Aside from that i would recommend this place to anyone. I would to stay here again.

Love this cabin so much! We live in the country in FL, but you can still hear radios and some traffic. Here, I felt I had stepped back in time. Also, the hosts were so great to contact and ask a couple questions. I wish I could stay forever!! Kids loved the loft. The property is fantastic, and we had everything we needed and more!

Beautiful place. Bring everything.
This is a breathtaking location, a wonderful little cabin, nice amenities. The birdsong was varied and beautiful. It was QUIET, which is exactly what we were looking for. Bring your own charcoal, and a way to light it. We forgot our lighter and had to drive to town to buy matches. Communication was really the only problem we had. We did not get a code to get in until the day we were to arrive--explained by alluding to overstaying guests. We didn't get a wifi code until we were there. Upon our discovery that we'd forgotten our lighter, we texted the host, and he said he'd bring some matches out later that day, which unfortunately didn't happen. The firepit had a couple pieces of new (very old) wood, and a bunch of ends left over from previous fires.

Double booked..!!
I received a phone call 5 hours before check-in that he over booked for that weekend. Then try to get me to take $100 dollars if I would go someplace else. Didn't think that could happen on VRBO? But anyway clothes in the washer and dryer. Trash still in the trash can outside. Owner of this rental needs to step up his game and become more professional.

Great Cabin!
We enjoyed our stay in Stillhouse Cabin. We were there to hike the Red River Gorge. While most trails are a 30+ minute drive away, thereā€™s a lesser-known, off-the-beaten-path hike right near the cabin. While It rained for us on the second day, I enjoyed sitting in the rocking chair listening to the rain.

Nice holiday get away for 1 night
Again another great stay. I loved that there was a decorated Christmas tree. Brett is an awesome host and goes above to make sure you are welcomed. Home is perfect with all details and needs you need. Look forward to going back in the summer.
