I want to love this resort as I was looking forward to exploring the other resorts within the Dreams brand. The resort had too many mosquitoes and I was bitten constantly everyday. It's been 6 days since I returned home and I am STILL itching. I love Cancun because of the hospitality of the people. Most of the employees of the resort made me feel welcomed. Most of the employees greeted us with "Buenos dias, Hola, etc" everyday and every where... EXCEPT our waiters at Tamarindo and Mercure. I always say "thank you" and always spoke nicely to the staff, but it was these two restaurants where the staff seemed... grumpy and seemed like they didn't want to be there. Even though the resort was an all-inclusive resort, we ALWAYS still tipped our servers as much as $20US; especially to our Teppanyaki cook. Even when tipped, they didn't smile and only "nodded" as if saying, "ok". Food overall was fair to good quality in terms of taste and presentation. Cin Cin was terrible and was the worst of all the restaurants. I love dessert and I couldn't stomach the "chocolate mousse" cake on our first night. It was rubbery and tasted like cheap garbage boxed cake. Juan from the Carnival buffet was awesome with his great service and smiles. He even remembered my husband's name from the first day. Catalina and Carmen where pleasant from the Spa. Hotel check in staff was super efficient and pleasant. The nightly entertainment was adequate and appreciated. Rid the mosquitoes!
