Our family of 4 (3 adults/1 teenager) really enjoyed our stay. Carlos was amazing & the Italian restaurant was fantastic. We were always able to get chairs at the pools and beach. Quiet destination & very relaxing.

This place would be so great if the food and room service were better. Our family of 5 did the all inclusive plan which is also honored at their two sister locations . The food was just not great. Buffets and then if you try to order off the menu they tell you it will be an hour or more. Twice we ordered room service and it took over two hours arrived. What arrived was not freshly made food… it was food that was sent when they had time to bring it up I guess? Beautiful place. Clean, lovely . Carlos was great who greeted us. My only negative comment the entire time was the food but that is a big part of vacations

The resort did not have a beach, I mean no waves. The water was more like a lagoon. Limited dining options that were not great. The facility was clean. The only positive is there is transportation to Royal Sands resort which has a fantastic beach, pool and better dining options.

All inclusive is worth the price especially as we had free access to Royal Sands also. Laundry was cheap and fast so you don’t need to pack as much. Great beach, good pool, helpful staff. Only downside: we were asked to transfer to a different room during middle of our stay.

We loved staying at the Royal Cancun. We are a family of 6, this place was so good for little kids. They loved the kids club. With some tips the waiters will wait on you while enjoying time at the pool. The buffet was pretty good especially the Christmas menu. The reserve restaurant is Italian and really good. The property was very clean and the maids were amazing. Room service was awesome. The resort is small. Two pools one snack shack one buffet but the e never felt like we needed anything else. The sister resort you can shuttle to is cool. Watersides for the kids. Amazing beach. But it’s large and busy. This resort is not very busy. Very quiet no loud music and activities 24/7. Very relaxing quiet place to stay.

The only thing we liked about this property was a few staff members, and access to the other property Royal Sands, which has a beautiful beach, great people more food options and better heated poolsThe timeshare people were so pushy made you feel uncomfortable. We had all inclusive, but every time you got a drink or something to eat you had a sign a piece of paper. It got very annoying quick and made you feel that you were not at an all inclusive. The beach had lots of poop. We asked why it was disgusting. The boats seem to empty their tanks and it floats on to the beach. They try to clean and I watch staff burry it in the sand. The pools were not heated and we were there for 2 weeks, everything is closed by 10 so no bars but could get room service with very select food options, long waits to get to the only buffet, one night we waited for over an hour to be served but watched the timeshare owners be treated different because they were paying when we we’re all inclusive, you definitely get treated not very good. It seemed like we were watched everywhere as we went. Even off resort people kept coming up to us and saying I work there do you remember me? And to top it off, we didn’t have her transfer because our flights were delayed and had to pay an extra $300 to get to the hotel. Expedia never covered any of these expenses. It was not help at all.

We reached very late due to flight delays the staff was amazing and very accommodating. We reached at about 3 am and still they served us decent food in the room. I had contacted the resort before hand to have a crib in the room which they very much had available for us. The room service is very good even the restaurants are excellent. The kids club was nice and very friendly staff. We had a concierge Leticia. She was very helpful and made sure we had everything. Having access to sister resort was very helpful we loved going there as well. Overall the experience was amazing. The only reason I have taken 1 star out is the marketing team. They called us for some presentation and wouldnt let us go even when we decided we didnt want to go for the points holiday inn or time share deals. The sales rep was not listening to us at all. I understand they have to do there jobs but we took our 3 hours from our family vacation time it really wasn't nice. But overall i will say this place is amazing and I highly recommend this resort.

This is a worse resort I’ve seen so far.almost the same limited choices of food everyday. Going to Royal Sands boast multiple restaurants but to get there is a hassle as you have to book the transportation to get there( 20 minutes of travel time) also calling for reservations is almost impossible- no one answer the phone. Same as to room services, not only they don’t answer the phone, when they did, they bring you wrong orders every time. One evening I had to order 3 times and I still didn’t get the right orders. There are many more resorts in the area you can go to,
