Disliked: Amenities
First I would like to say Carlos Perez, Gregory and most of the staff were very nice and helpful. We appreciate their hospitality. But the amenities are subpar. Management needs to better train their staff or need better to be trained themselves. The shower head was not working properly and needs to be repaired. The dining options were our biggest complaint until my wife was in room with do not disturb sign on door, an employee entered the room and scared her. I don’t understand why he opened the door immediately before verifying if there was anyone in the room and also disregarded the do not disturb sign on door. We already had room service earlier. I told management about this and asked for compensation. He said he would offer a $300 romantic dinner but made us sign a document that was written in Spanish. We were in a box room with glass walls and everyone outside the box could see us. It was so uncomfortable we decided to leave the room and sit with the rest of the hotel guests. We were told the cameras validate our complaint. I have a copy of the text messages with our concierge, a copy of the complaint, and the letter we had to sign. We felt deceived but at 8:30 we had two choices stay and eat or find another place to eat. I hope no one experiences this and hope Expedia will compensate us better than the lie Jose Ant sold us.
