This supposedly a 4 star hotel, but there is no water, kettle or coffee provided in the room. The reception at the checkout was not very friendly.

All good except that it was really inconvenient to carry bags up stairs by the main enterance. There are steps even to get to the lift from the reception. We only discovered the side exit that leads directly to the street parking while leaving.

Comfort and history
Lovely building and great room. Comfortable bed and excellent bedding. Enjoyed a very reasonably priced drink in the bar by the log fire. Friendly barman. Only downside for us personally was the very late restaurant opening time, 8.30 is far too long to wait. Otherwise very enjoyable quiet night.
