Named for the lifeguard tower that sits on the beach just below the property, Tower 36's Upper Unit, features all the luxuries you love and would expect! The home has been redesigned to enhance guest experience through comfort and elegance. Tower 36 Upper is the upper unit of a home with an expansive 2,500 square feet of space featuring 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. Unobstructed ocean views can be seen from the expansive living space which includes cantina doors providing indoor/outdoor access to the front balcony. The spacious living and gourmet kitchen spaces allow ample room for preparing meals, playing games with family and friends, and entertaining loved ones. Take full advantage of your views from the private rooftop deck with a heart warming fireplace and a gas barbeque for you to use.

This unit is a three bedroom, two bathroom, oceanfront unit located in beautiful Carlsbad, California. The home does have AC which is difficult to find in Carlsbad and has amazing ocean views.

Guests will have exclusive access to the unit with self-check in capability via a smart lock. The unit, garage and patios on the second floor and the roof are all solely for guest use. Unit can be rented in combination with Tower Lower. Tower Lower has an internal staircase with a master bedroom on the second floor that is separate from this unit. In between the Tower Lower master bedroom and the Tower Upper master bedroom there is a locked maids closet, that neither unit, so both units are secure.

Located along Carlsbad Boulevard known for its good beach break surf out front, beautiful walking paths, and a fun clean beach.

Nightmare Stay in “Luxury” Rental
Our dismay with this unit started the minute we opened the “Upper Unit” door. The sectional was filthy, the barstools were ripping apart, the stools on the main floor deck were broken and had pieces hanging off. The main AC vent was rusted and corroding, the filth in the Master was unbelievable. We had to clean the ceiling fan before we could turn it on. The window in the second bathroom was broken and stuck open. This made the noise from construction next door impossible to escape. There was a shared door, with another room upstairs (that we were never told about) that we could NOT LOCK OURSELVES. This place is as NOT as advertised, and definitely not a luxury unit. Haystay Vacation Rentals did nothing but offer a superficial cleaning. They never came to repair the window (after admitting via text they knew it was broken). They also never came to fix the outdoor furniture that was unusable.We bought sheets to cover the sectional. We’ve been vacationing in Carlsbad for 25 years. This was, by FAR, our worst experience. Haustay Vacation Rentals is now ghosting us. They ruined a very important vacation,that our grown kids traveled thousands of miles to get to, to help us celebrate a big anniversary and birthday. Our only time together as a family for the year, was ruined. Renter BEWARE.

Great house/location. Property was clean and communication with host easy/painless. Overall great rental. Construction noise next door is present, but will only bother you if you are a late sleeper. Driveway to parking in rear can be a little challenging if you have a big vehicle/truck.

Great property - construction next door was very noisy
We stay in Carlsbad every year and usually use Vrbo. The property manager informed us a week before our stay that there’s construction next door. No time to change my trip or get a refund. Mon-Fri at 7 am sharp it was super loud up until 4. We would have not booked this property if this was disclosed to us. Mornings were just awful in this place. We love the town and location but not the early wake up. Morning coffee on the balcony was also a no go. We expect better from VRBO and we expect some form of refund or credit toward our next stay. We paid ~$10k for the week and didn’t have an experience consistent with what we paid.

Simply the Best!
If you’re looking for a great place to stay in Carlsbad, look no further. This home is the best! Best location. Best view. Best when it comes to cleanliness. Best when it comes to bedding and towels. You’ll find only the best quality linens here. Our family, ranging in age from 16 months to 72 years old, enjoyed everything about this rental. The kitchen is gorgeous and has everything you need. Just add your groceries and you’re good to go. The kids loved the upper deck and making s’mores every night. Access to the beach is easy-pesey. I simply cannot say enough good things about this home. We’ve been renting through VRBO for over 10 years and this has become our favorite! Thank you Nick for sharing your lovely home with us!

Spring Break Win!
We truly enjoyed Carlsbad! The home was perfect for our family. The full size soaps in all the bathrooms, dish soap, laundry pods, Diana washer soap, extra rolls of toilet paper and paper towel where an A+ addition. Home was pretty clean, baseboards and corners could use some extra attention but high touch areas were clean. Plenty of towels and trash bags for the entire week. Communication and check in/out was a breeze. Would stay here again if our travels bring us back.

Well- appointed property with loving and dining and kitchen views of the ocean. Great fireplace and seating on third level with ocean views. We had s’mores there every night. Stairs in house were good for grandparents 75+. Location is perfect for going to the beach. It’s right at the crosswalk with stairs down to the beach. Stairs are also easy for the elderly. Beach chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards were perfect. Plenty of parking at the house.

Week at the beach.
We had a great time staying at this property. It was exactly as advertised and the host/management team was great. Only had to cross the street to actually be on the beach and the crosswalk is right there by the house. Foldaway balcony door was fantastic. Opened the whole home to the ocean breezes. Sitting on the balcony patio was so relaxing and the rooftop deck was a bonus. Loved the fireplaces and the grill too. Beautiful place to stay.

Beautiful condo by the beach
This property is fantastic. Completely as advertised. The views and location can’t be beat in Carlsbad. The condo is very well stocked and suits a family very well. If I were to offer very minor suggestions, I would suggest updating the coffee pot and master bedroom mattress. My sons have already asked me to book this place for next year. You won’t be disappointed if you rent this property! Thank you for the hospitality.
