Carlogie House, built in 1854, is an exclusive holiday house that sleeps up to 24 guests in 12 sumptuous en-suite bedrooms, one of which is situated on the ground floor and is fully accessible. Set within 2 acres of private garden grounds, this beautifully refurbished Victorian Mansion House retains all the feel of a rural country house while conveniently located within walking distance of Carnoustie town centre and 5 minutes to the Open Golf Course.

This property has been lavishly refurbished in contemporary country house style to provide the perfect venue for group holidays, family celebrations or weddings. The house is an elegant mix of traditional features and contemporary decoration with a modern Scottish touch.

The lounge with open fire, bar area and kitchen are all open plan to provide a large space that everyone can enjoy together. The kitchen has been specifically designed for large groups with 2 ovens, 2 dishwashers, 2 fridges and separate wine fridge to add to the luxury. Space is in abundance with further formal dining room, additional butler’s kitchen, games room, conservatory, spa area with steam room, shower and changing area.

There is an enclosed garden area to the rear, accessed off both the lounge and the steam room area, with terrace, 2 hot tubs, patio area, fire pit and seating to enjoy warm summer days or cold winter nights alike.

Amazing Family Reunion
Twenty five family members ranging from 2-76 years of age for the United States and England gathered in this beautiful home for two weeks. This spacious home and all the amenities provided exceeded our expectations - from the kitchen, bedrooms, dining and and entertainment areas(both inside and out).There were ample areas for family members to gather in large and small groups. An exciting place to come home to after a long day.
Perfect for a family gathering of 20 people. It’s about a 15-20 min walk to/from the train station and grocery store (we did it a couple times), but I’d recommend a cab or a rental car to get around. The best part of the trip was the excitement of returning to the house after a long day of adventures, and hearing the constant laughter of the children running up and down the halls while playing hide and seek in their very own castle. So much to do both inside and outside the house. Looking forward to visiting again.

Scotland Visit
We were a group of 22 friends and family. We stayed at Carlogie House from August 1 to August 10 and could not have been happier. When we arrived by bus from Glasgow airport Susan was at the house to meet us. She gave us a tour of the house so we would be familiar with everything. The location of this house is perfect. It is a little under a mile and a half from the center of town which is a short distance to the beach, train station and Carnoustie Golf Links. Our group definitely enjoyed walking to town on our free day. We hired Braw Tours and had 5 days touring the area including Edinburgh, St Andrews, many castles and even Kingsbarn whiskey distillery. One of the highlights for us was our catering crew, Kirries Dumpling, Janet, Debbie and the girls were fantastic providing breakfast and lunch everyday. We highly recommend them, very reasonable rates and excellent food. The house was fantastic, we were able to assign room ahead of arrive as each room has it’s own name. Everything provided was utilized. The game room with pool table, hot tubs everyday, the bar in use every night, washer and dryer were a big help. The dining room is spectacular. Susan was available to help with any problems. Our visit was super and we would definitely return! Thanks Susan for providing us with a wonderful vacation!

Three-generation family reunion from six US states..
We had been planning a family reunion in Scotland for several years and finally found a beautiful location that would house all 24 of us comfortably. Everything about this house was wonderful. A lovely walk to the train, pubs, downtown Carnoustie, a beautiful beach, and marvelous playground complete with zipline for the children. The hostess, Susan, was accomodating in every regard and aided us in our preparations prior to our visit. The beautiful grounds provided a perfect venue for a falconry demonstration that was one of the many highlights of our visit. Carlogie House was a home away from home for our family of all ages and an experience we will always remember! Thank you so much, Susan!

The Carlogie House was a great place for a gathering of family and friends for a holiday. There is plenty of common space to gather, and space for privacy if desired. The rooms were beautiful. We traveled from Canada as a group and this house had everything we needed. Such a perfect space.
Susan has been wonderful at every step of the way. She was there to great us and walk through the space, and checked in on us periodically via email to make sure we did not want for anything. The property was everything and more. I can't recommend this space enough. We traveled with several families for our wedding, and the space held the group so well. Each bedroom having its own amenities was perfect. The hottubs were a hit, and we're well maintained, as were the grounds. We had several cooks in the kitchen at any given time; this space was made for entertaining! With 3 different refrigeration spaces, there was ample space for a weeks worth of groceries. I booked the property in 2020 for Christmas and the level of details that went into making the property look amazing for Christmas was above and beyond what I hoped for. Susan was the most accommodating person, went above and beyond for us and the property was absolutely stunning. Golf trip in Scotland
There were 12 of us staying at Carlogie House and playing golf in the area. We could not have asked for the most perfect base for our trip. Plenty of space for all of us and the combination of hot tubs, pool room, bar area, large kitchen, conservatory and living room with fire meant there was always somewhere for small groups to get together and talk nonsense for a few hours. Brilliant property.
