This is a newer lakefront property with sunset views over beautiful Paradise Lake. Cross the country lane to a private beachfront on a sandy bottom lake with cabana and "L" shaped dock. Bring your water toys but we have 2 kayaks for your use. Paradise is a great fishing Lake so bring your poles; some fishing tackle is available on site. Paradise Chalet is located just minutes from Mackinaw City and the ferries to Mackinac Island but offers you a private and peaceful retreat to return to. It's nestled in a quiet cove and surrounded by forest.
This spotless cottage is light and airy with lots of windows and amazing views of Paradise Lake. It offers everything you need to enjoy your vacation - just bring your groceries! The master bedroom adjoins the bathroom on the main floor and has a queen sized bed. The upstairs loft has 2 queen beds. The main floor has an open design with living room, dining room and kitchen. There is a very large deck drenched in sun which faces the lake. The cottage features central air, a new washer/dryer, DISH satellite, WIFI and a water treatment system to remove that ‘country water’ that so many cottages have. We also offer 2 bikes for your use.
The location is so perfect to enjoy Northern Michigan. Situated minutes from Mackinaw City, the Mackinac Bridge, St. Ignace (the gateway to the Upper Peninsula) Cheboygan, the beautiful Inland Waterway, Les Cheneaux Islands, Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Good Hart, and Charlevoix - the list goes on and on! The fall colors are unbeatable and there are lots of opportunities for viewing them. Organized bike rides, road races for runners and winery and brewery tours are very popular. If you love biking, the North Western State Trail can be accessed through Carp Lake and passes through many communities along the way, including Conway, Oden, Ponshewaing, Brutus, Pellston, Van, and Levering. In 2018, the scenic route was recognized with a National Recreation Trail designation.
The spring and fall are great for bird watching - especially the hawk migration in early spring. We've personally witnessed it and it takes your breath away to see the hundreds of raptors circling the sky to make their annual crossing of the Straits of Mackinac.
