The villa rests on a working vineyard. This cascina has ample room for one or two families, or friends travelling together and looking for their own private paradise from which to explore the area.

Additionally, cherry, plum, apricot, hazelnut and apple trees are abundant, accessible to guests for picking when in season.

For outdoor recreation, enjoy our beautiful infinity pool (5X11 meters), built in June 2019 with a surrounding stone deck for sunbathing, reading or maybe a nap in the hammock? For outdoor dining, a pergola overlooking the pool includes a grill area, ideal for enjoying meals al fresco. The entire entrance area of the house, along with the pergola, is tiled with smooth, light tiles, creating a seamless connection between the indoor and outdoor spaces.

The fields are also teeming with wildlife: lots of birds and occasionally dear, rabbit or fox can be seen from the porch.

Peaceful retreat
We were lucky enough to stay here for five nights. Each morning we woke up to fog rolling through the vineyard that slowly revealed the amazing views through out the day. The home was as pictured, well appointed with items we needed for cooking and relaxing. Everything was quite comfortable. Michael and Diana were both so pleasant and communicative through the entire process. Dreaming of a return trip in the warmer months to make use of the beautiful pool!

The house is bright and beautiful. Everything was very clean. Our host Michael was amazing. Communication was easy and it’s clear that they want to take good care of the house and provide the best experience for the guests. We just loved our stay here! The views from the balcony and from the pool are stunning. Here you can enjoy the serenity of the countryside, yet it takes only 6 minutes by car to get into the nearest village, supermarket etc. We would love to get back here one day!

Great Visit to Piedmont
My wife and I came and stayed along with two other couples for 3 nights in late September 23. Michael was extremely helpful providing us with ideas for what to do during our trip and answering any questions we had. He connected us with a local chef to do a cooking class and dinner at the house that was a great time. The house was a perfect size for our group and close to everything in the region via car. The views from the house are amazing. We had a great time and highly recommend staying here.

Villa Volpe -Sept 2023
Casa Volpe was everything we expected and more!!! The updated yet charming and rustic villa was exactly as described and a welcome retreat to relax after a day of visiting the near by towns in the Piedmont area. It honestly felt like you were far away from everything because of the vast views but just minutes from town with lots of privacy and amenities! The caretaker Diana was very helpful with restaurants, wine bars, villages and cities of interest to see. If we ever had a question she was quick to respond. The pool area was very relaxing and the outdoor bbq and patio area ambience is perfect for dinners! The flies can be annoying this time of year so thankful we bought some organic bug repellent. Inside, lots of candles at the dining table was a perfect romantic touch to enjoy dinners and wine. We stayed in the upstairs first bedroom to the left and the mattress was extremely comfortable. Also loved the ceiling fans and ability to open the screened windows to take in all of the sounds at night. Over the last few days of our stay cows showed up and I loved their bells…just like beautiful chimes music to our ears!!! Our trip in late September turned into be harvest season, and it was a special treat to see the grapes in their full beauty and all the farmers out in the fields harvesting! Just drive slow…lots of big tractors!!! Also, since it was harvest time, we got to meet our host Michael and he was very gracious, and spent some time with us explaining about his vine

Above Expectations
The entire stay was wonderful and stress free. Communication was top notch. Directions were wonderful and it was listed on Google maps. We have been to several VRBO’s in Italy and this is the first one that exceeded our expectations and the pictures were spot on. Great location to explore Borolo and Barbaresco wine country. Fernanda, the chef that was recommended was lovely and her cooking class was great. Everything worked as it should. The A/C was more than adequate even on the 100 degree days that we had on the first few days of our stay. The house was clean and tidy. There are 2 bedrooms with on suite bathrooms, the other 2 share a downstairs full bath. All 4 bedrooms are upstairs. We were 3 couples and it worked out great. Pool is clean and loungers were in good nick. Overall a wonderful stay and a property we will come back to in the future.

Perfect week in Piemonte
My family and I stayed a week at Casa della Volpe in early July - really perfect in every way. The pictures are spot on, but it’s still better in real life. Michael was a great host and Diana (who met us at the house) was amazing - my wife and two of our kids ended up arriving a full day before the rest of us got there with the car, and Diana drove them herself to the market to stock up until we got there. Very much above and beyond! The house itself was beautiful, clean, well-stocked, and comfortable. We spent a ton of time by the pool (great to have in the summer heat) and ate outside on the patio every day so we could look out over the vineyards, sunflower fields, and hazelnut orchards. Only regret is that we only stayed a week! Definitely hope to come back again. 10/10.

A beautiful spot in the Piedmont
Our group of five found the house to be well-appointed and very comfortable. The outdoor areas were perfect for enjoying the magnificent 180° vistas. On our last day, we even got to see the far off mountains that had been invisible throughout our stay. Diana was an excellent caretaker of the property, and provided us with good suggestions for villages to visit and restaurants in the area. The small problems we encountered were taken care of promptly. The house is well-situated in an area with many towns and villages to visit within a short drive. We recommend it highly.

The online description does not do the house justice. It’s so much better once you get there...
We had a great time and truly loved the house. Super clean all around and so much space. The pool is a huge plus. The location is perfect as you are within 15-20 minutes from roughly everywhere, but you are sleeping right in the middle of the vineyards. So the only thing you hear at night are the crickets and the birds in the morning. Huge thank you to Michael and Diana for sharing their house. We’ll be back 👍

Peace and quiet but cities within reach
The house is beautifully located on top of a hill, overlooking the well kept wine fields of Piemonte. Whether it is from the comfortable couch, the sleeping rooms or the balcony you have the best view possible everywhere in the house. Within half an hour after arrival we saw a deer roam freely on the fields. We ate apples from the trees in the garden. The house is very pleasant. It has white marble floors to keep your feet cool in the hot Italian summer. The kitchen is big and has lots of closets and working space to prepare a real Italian meal! All rooms have airconditioning. Two of the sleeping rooms have their own bathroom (one with bath and the other one with rain shower) and then there is a third bathroom (with shower) downstairs For warm days there is the infinity pool that has been carefully designed to fit in the landscape. Nothing beats sipping a glass of local wine poolside while enjoying food from the barbecue that has been made available by the owner. As we are city dwellers ourselves we also made quite a few excursions to Turin, Milan and Genoa which are all within 1.5 hours driving on the highway (the same can be said of the airports of all three cities). Closer to home you can find very nice restaurants, wineries and truffles (!) in the towns of Barolo, Alba and Asti and the quaint mountain top village of Neive. For the daily shopping there are several supermarkets in Castagnole and Alba. Overall a wonderful and recommendable experience and a house we will definitely want to re-visit!!

We loved to stay at this newly renovated villa.
We absolutely loved staying at Michaels place. Newly renovated in a modern and tasteful way. Beautiful views that feel a bit less manicured then some other regions, which we like. Also close to some charming little towns as well as close to Alba. The house has lots of amenities, was very clean and was provided with professional laundry service. Better than we have experienced elsewhere in Italy! Michael and his concierge Francesco are great hosts. We were informed that the landscaping around the pool was not yet 100% finalized which made us feel upfront already very comfortable. We loved swimming in the pool and see the sun set. After a big storm internet was blown out. 1 WhatsApp was sufficient to get it swiftly fixed. Overall, I would go back in a heartbeat with my family to this great house and I highly recommend this villa. Henk
