Apartment located in a pretty and peaceful village on the top of a hill in the Chianti area which overlooks a landscape of olive trees, vineyards and woods. The village is located in a WWF protected area "Bosco di Sant'Agnese" where the cypresses grow spontaneously.
The structural characteristics of a typical country has been scrupulously respected, creating a typical and unique atmosphere of the past. The oldest part is the 1100 AD tower. c.
There are two large parking lots in the village and there are no cars on the small streets, except for loading / unloading luggage.
Available to guests and shared with the other villagers, we have a completely enclosed swimming pool (12x6m maximum depth. 1.50m) and a tennis court (fenced) in synthetic grass.

Our stay in this enchanting little village was just perfection. Our renovated ā€œbarnā€ was so cozy and comfortable, Our host, Veronica could not have been more attentive to our needs (it was quite cold when we were there and she made sure we had fuel, etc to stay warm). She also brought us wine and olive oil from her family and a delicious tart. It was peaceful, beautiful and everything we could have hoped for. Perfect getaway in Tuscany
Wow! We could not be more pleased with our stay at Castellina in Chianti. We were greeted warmly, with welcome gifts (wine, olive oil, a delicious tart, and fresh fruit). The property provided us incomparable vistas from the generous terrace and along shady hiking trails. We were comfortable in the spacious living area and bedrooms. All amenities were in great working order and gave us just the respite we were seeking. Plus, after a long day of sightseeing in nearby Florence, the beautifully located swimming pool was the perfect way to cool off. We want to return and will recommend this lovely gem of a spot to our fellow travelers and friends!

Amazing stay in hilltop village
We loved this charming, rustic house (part of a bigger building with other accommodation). It's part of a tiny village at the top of a long track through olive groves. Fantastic views and a wonderful place to relax. Thoroughly recommend.

Beautiful location, tranquil stay
We are a family from Vienna who stayed a few days in this very quiet scenic location. The house was comfortable, the owner hospitable and helpful, and the views (and smells) unforgettable. There is good access to towns around and many places are within the 45 minute radius -it is different from staying in a town but that's what we desired. It was our first use of this website and everything worked fine. We will return !

Wir haben uns prima erholt in diesem grandiosen FerienhƤuschen mit groƟer Terrasse und tollem Ausblick Ć¼ber die Toskana. Viele attraktive Ausflugsziele sind in der NƤhe. Noch nƤher: Pool und Tennisplatz. Super! Das Haus selbst ist auch sehr schƶn und praktikabel eingerichtet. NatĆ¼rlich gibt es auch Kritikpunkte, aber sie konnten unser sehr positives Gesamtfazit nicht beeinflussen; wir nennen sie trotzdem: Zu einer "fully equipped" KĆ¼che gehƶren unserer Meinung nach auch ein GeschirrspĆ¼ler und eine Filter-Kaffeemaschine - beides fehlte aber. Und wozu gibt es Tƶpfe, die nicht fĆ¼r den Induktionsherd geeignet sind - die passenden mussten wir durch Ausprobieren herausfinden? Ein Fernseher hƤtte auch nicht geschadet, obwohl wir ihn dann in der tollen Urlaubsumgebung doch kaum vermisst haben.

Sehr erholsame ruhige Lage
Das Haus liegt in einem ruhigen abgelegenen Dorf inmitten von OlivenbƤumen, das man Ć¼ber eine ca. 2 km lange KiesstraƟe erreicht. Es gibt keinen Durchgangsverkehr und eignet sich mit dem Gemeinschaftspool fĆ¼r einen sehr erholsamen Urlaub. In dem Haus selbst befinden sich noch 2 weitere Ferienwohnungen. Veronica, die Vermieterin, reagierte schnell auf RĆ¼ckfragen und kĆ¼mmerte sich umgehend um etwaige Anliegen. In dem Haus gibt es soweit alles was man braucht. Eine SpĆ¼lmaschine gab es leider nicht. Die fest installierte Klimaanlage kĆ¼hlt sehr gut. Innerhalb von einer halben Stunde lassen sich viele schƶne Dƶrfer und StƤdte mit dem Auto erreichen. Wir haben uns rund um wohl gefĆ¼hlt und kƶnnen die Unterkunft weiterempfehlen. In

Tolles Haus in ruhiger Umgebung
Wir hatten einen sehr schƶnen Aufenthalt in Il Granaio! Das Haus war super ausgestattet, sehr gemĆ¼tlich und in toller Lage. Die groƟe Terrasse grenzt an den Olivenhain und lƤdt zum Entspannen, sowie RĆ¼ckzug in der Hitze ein. Es gibt alles, was man braucht. Der Swimmingpool, sowie der Tennisplatz sind tolle AktivitƤten direkt in der NƤhe. Die Kommunikation verlief sehr nett und unkompliziert. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Das Haus liegt sehr schƶn in einem gemĆ¼tlichen und netten alten (Ferien)Dorf. Der Garten und die Terrasse sind noch viel grĆ¶ĆŸer und schƶner als wie auf den Bildern abgebildet. Die Unterkunft liegt etwas abseits vom nƤchsten Ort. Ein Aufenthalt mit einem Auto ist erforderlich, der nƤchste Ort zu weit weg um schnell FrĆ¼hstĆ¼ck holen zu gehen oder am Abend noch schnell Essen zu gehen. Ich wĆ¼rde empfehlen ein Kochbuch einzupacken, in Poggibonsi in den groƟen Coop einkaufen zu gehen und am Abend gemĆ¼tlich zu kochen. Die Unterkunft ist auch perfekt fĆ¼r TagesausflĆ¼ge nach Siena, Florenz oder San Gimignano geeignet. Die Schlafzimmer sind sehr sauber. Wer den AuƟengriller nĆ¼tzen mƶchte sollte selbst (trockene) Kohle mitnehmen. Ich bin mir auch nicht sicher ob das vorhandene Holz zum Einheizen (drinnen) wirklich geeignet ist (ev. mitnehmen wer eines zur VerfĆ¼gung hat). Danke fĆ¼r die schƶnen Tage, die Freundlichkeit und die Aufmerksamkeiten! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Lovely place on a hill between the olive trees and vinyards
Everything great, love to come back. We had BBQ brtween the olive trees, sat on the terrace, cooked good mesls in the well equipped kitchen... fruit basket and a cake were there for us when we areived... Thank you for the great time!
