Fantastic place for our annual girls trip!!!
My besties and ❤️love the California coastline and we love gather for a few days to each Fall to nosh on great food, drink fine wines, walk barefoot in the sand collecting shells, stay up way too late, get too little sleep, witness the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets and enjoy spiritual experiences and lots of laughs. This home was THE PERFECT HOME for all that that and MORE!

Mold/Mildew for our summer vacation.
Found the entire downstairs in this rental to reek of mold and mildew. This is a health concern. The owners do have an air purifier, dehumidifier and Lysol downstairs but these did not alleviate the smell. We were left to make arrangements for our family to use the one upstairs bedroom with twin beds and ultimately we checked out early at our own expense to keep safe. Unbelievable experience. The townhouse was appointed with new appliances and the kitchen had been updated but the entire downstairs area was moist and smelled very strong of mold & mildew.

The condo had everything we needed & was quite cute with its beach decor. Kitchen & bathrooms were all updated & very nice. Sleep Number beds were a really nice touch. Peaceful & tucked away. This property is quiet, private, well appointed, and surrounded by wonderful farm stands with spectacular produce. We had seen the pictures, but the pictures do not do it justice. Waves, pelicans, bunnies, and beautiful flowers make it hard to come inside, but then inside is comfortable and beautifully equipped. We loved our stay.

We loved the location we loved the house we loved the attention to every request the host went above and beyond our every expectation! Lisa spared no expense with this home. Fantastic set of appliances in the kitchen, bathrooms, living room, and even the bedrooms! There is an absolutely giant television in the living room and a very cool 3D TV in the kids room with plenty of 3D DVDs and Blu-Rays. Beach toys are also supplied. All you need to do is show up! As with most of the places at the Dunes, you're steps away from the beach. Overall, a fantastic place for a family stay.

Absolutely amazing location
We had the most amazing time here! The beach was literally steps away, and the whole neighborhood is so quiet and isolated. The view from the big glass windows was serene. Lisa was great and fast with communication. Her place is so well stocked with everything we needed and more - stuff for babies, artichoke steamers, beach towels and chairs, binoculars, everything you would need! My kids loved the 3D tv with glasses and good assortment of movies. We didn’t use the steam shower, but it sounded amazing! Having access to the property’s amenities was great - pool, hot tub, sand volleyball court, tennis courts, bocce ball court. All the beds were sleep number beds and can be adjusted to your comfort. We really enjoyed our time here - you cannot get a better location if you tried! We hope to be back again soon!

Wonderful escape
The house was generally wonderful and I review it more generally below, but begin with the natural history/biologist’s perspective. The location was beautiful, right on the beach in a lovely and intact sand dune system (i.e., native plants mostly in place, not *yet* overrun by European beach grass or ice plant). The beach is bordered to the south and north by the mouth of the Salinas River and Elkhorn Slough, respectively. Walks on the beach and nature walks in the dunes and nearby estuaries were spectacular. If that isn’t your cup of tea, just kicking back with a cocktail watching the breakers, cooking in the kitchen, hanging in the hot tub etc is choice as well. :). We saw dolphins, surf scoters, and pelicans actively feeding in the surf zone. The owner was very friendly and responsive. House very comfy, warm, and clean. The kitchen is very well supplied for a vrbo: great utensils, just about every appliance one could need (large toadter oven, blender, croc pot, etc…). We cooked from scratch and found all the tools we needed. We had a wonderful time :).
