Your Safety is our #1 Concern! My 2nd Home, LLC was founded by a previous General Manager of a Wyndham Resort. She brought her extensive knowledge through years of training on customer safety to this business. The staff at My 2nd Home, LLC is always putting our guest's safety at the top of the list of priorities. We start by providing professionally laundered linens through American Linen Supply Company (ALSCO). This assures your sheets, towels, bathmats, etc. have been cleaned using commercial machines with boilers and commercial grade cleaners which kill more germs than a home washer/dryer can do. We also make sure every surface of the home is wiped down with commercial cleaners with bleach, paying special attention to items such as remote controls, doorknobs, cupboard handles, and anything within the home which are touched by hands on a regular basis. We provide single use products rather than large bottles of shampoos, soaps, etc. which have been used by previous guests. Our goal is for our guests to have a safe, enjoyable time staying at a My 2nd Home property, knowing that the home they are staying in has been cared for and cleaned by the best in the business.

Crummy Cottage NOT Cozy Cottage
Dumpy exterior. Porch overgrown w/tree leaves, debris & dirt on porch furniture. Had to sweep it off ourselves, wiped all furniture down just to be able to sit outside. This was a big perk they bragged about! Entry way into living room full of leaves & debris. Also on the sofa & carpet. Bathroom sink wouldn’t drain well; filled up with water whenever we used it. We tried pouring boiling water down it, which we did about 5 XS, this helped a little. Dishes put away dirty. Shower broke 2nd night of our stay. Person answering my calls via text said they were out of town, dealing w/sick grandkids, had a plumber for this. We repaired it ourselves! First day when I called, no answer. I explained the condition of the property, I didn’t hear back til 9:30PM. I called at 5PM. We asked for some reimbursement of what we paid, we never got an answer. I tried texting the person who was communicating with me, & it appears that I have been blocked as none of my texts will go through anymore. We stayed from WedJuly17th to SunJuly 21st. Spent 1st hour cleaning everything, hair & dust off shelf by my husbands side of the bed table, spiders & spider webs. It was like no one had been in the property for some time. I commented on this. The view from the “back porch, if you could find a chair to sit on, was of overgrown weeds & backs of buildings. The big house which was supposed to have a laundry room always open was locked. Had to contact AGAIN to find out how to get in. Very disappointing!

Not Quite Ready for Prime Time
While the house was very clean and nicely decorated, the property had lots of overgrown brush and there was a dilapidated structure boarded and locked up with a shed that was falling down. We couldn't see the mountain view from the kitchen window because of all the brush. The street had other rough properties but just one block over was the downtown and it was very nice with lots of restaurants and shops. We have stayed at quite a few vrbo sites and this is the first place that did not have a folder of details of the house. It took extra time to either try and figure out exactly how to use the door codes, how to use the washer, etc. or to then call the contact person While she always answered the phone, I gave 3 stars on communication because of no folder in the house. The mattress wasn’t too good. The headboard wasn't attached to the bedframe or the wall so it rattled when we rolled over. The diverter for the shower broke twice but we were able to fix it. There were no sieves on the tub or shower drains. When the diverter broke, I had to grab the pieces before they went down the drain. We stayed four nights and did enjoy our stay in Cedar City. In my honest opinion, I wouldn’t want to rent this house if there were more than just the two of us.

Just Right
Great little place! We were in town for graduation at SUU's Event Center (just a mile away), so the location was convenient. Comfortable and cozy, just enough room for a pack-and-play next to bed for the little one, and nicely decorated.
