This hotel was in the historical section of the section so we could walk to the Liberty Bell and the Independence Hall. It was also a central location if using public transport or Ubers to get around. Friendly staff, clean and tidy room - nothing to complain about here.

The hotel room was not clean enough for 5 stars. Hair in bathroom and old furniture with plenty of scratches, dents, stains on the chairs? Ew. The bed was comfortable and looked like the only new item in the room. Staff had a lot of technical difficulties which is not their fault but there were 3 at the front desk all attending the same computer rather than walking over to let me buy 3 waters…. It doesn’t take three front desk employees to attend a phone call with technical services. There was nothing wrong with purchase orders, the issues were with checking guests in so again, have one employee attend guests who just want to buy something and go to their room.

the rooms are old and in disrepair. the hotel maintenance was nonresponsive. the restaurant was rarely open and poorly staffed. the hotel is adjacent to a fire station so you hear the sirens all night.

We really enjoyed our one night stay at the Wyndam, check-in was fast, the room was really clean, and the beds are very comfortable. We have stayed here several times in the past, and always had a great experience. I also recommend having a meal or two at Old City Pizza, or Sonny's for cheesesteaks.
