The house is decorated with a comfortable country decor. It is located within the private and secluded Farm Ridge development overlooking Lake Rescue just outside the Village of Ludlow. The home Has WiFi and has spacious rooms on three levels. The top floor features a master bedroom with a king bed and a full bathroom attached along with another bedroom with two bunk beds. The main level of the house has another master bedroom with a queen bed and a full bathroom attached. The lower half of the house features a full bathroom, a fourth bedroom with a queen bed and a family room with a pull out sofa, that increases the sleeping capacity to a total of 12 comfortably, perfect for up to three families. The house has a fully equipped kitchen (including microwave, coffee maker, Keurig, compactor, and dishwasher), washer/dryer, and bed and bath linens. The dining room, which can seat 12, has a sliding door that opens onto a private deck with gorgeous views. We even have a tree fort for the kids to play in! After a long day you can relax in the hot tub outside on the deck, enjoy a fire in our fire pit and roast marsh mellows while gazing at the stars during the summer or enjoy a cozy fire in the living room within our Vermont Stone fireplace.
Activities/Attractions During Winter Months: Whether your intentions are to come for the prime skiing in the winter, the fall foliage or a spring or summer retreat, you will find everything you need for a great family vacation. Okemo Mountain offers 110 trails for all experience levels, and Okemo's Jackson Gore resort is located just 2.5 miles from our home. In addition, try out more than one mountain; a 15 to 30 minute drive brings you to Killington (just 12 miles north), Stratton, Bromley and Magic Mountain. Ludlow offers picturesque trails for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Likewise, you will find the sledding, snowmobiling, and ice-skating exhilarating and enticing. At local shops and stores you will find excellent cheeses, fresh produce, home baked breads and world-renowned Vermont maple syrup. In addition, the town has a wide assortment of dining establishments, from small breakfast/lunch diners to fine restaurants within historic estates and inns.
Activities/Attractions During Warmer Months: During warmer weather, enjoy a round of golf at the Okemo Valley Golf Course, or quiet fishing, swimming, boating or canoeing on one of the many rivers and lakes, including Lake Rescue just down the hill from our home. The area boasts of woods with quite paths to hike or bike through. Special area attractions include Buttermilk Falls and Mountain Fire Tower, where the sunsets are beautiful to take in at the end of a day filled with adventure.
