We were traveling late and had this booked as a stay. It was about 9:30 and we still hadn’t arrived yet and the owner called us to make sure we were okay. Above and beyond! She knew she’d be in bed by the time we’d arrive so she left us clear instructions and our key waiting for us. The room Was very clean and comfortable. Not very big, but I didn’t expect it to be. The fridge worked, the bed was comfortable and the ac worked perfectly! Would definitely stay again! Can’t beat the hospitality or the price!

This motel is a mom and pop motel that provides the necessities and nothing more. If you want a clean bed and bath this is it. That is what most of us want so I will stay here again.

Hidden Gem
Quaint and comfortable motel right off the highway. Barb and Todd are great hosts! Barb checked me in quickly and invited me over to the bar. My room was very clean and comfy with microwave + fridge. Went to the bar and had a nice dinner with Todd serving me there. Food was good and everyone was friendly. Would recommend and will definitely stay there again!

This is a small motel in the middle of nowhere but is clean, reasonable price and comfortable! If you are looking for a one night stay on a trip, this is a nice place for it. Doesn’t have all the frills of a high dollar hotel but is comfortable and also has a bar next to it with a small selection of good food and drinks!

Great little place
It was a last minute decision, had reservations at another place but just couldn’t stay there. Found Gerry’s. He had good reviews and they were deserved. Friendly, quaint and welcoming. Had a small bar and grill in a separate building. Locals were there and another guest. Small group but had a great evening of comradery

Very clean motel. Love the little Prairie Dust bar also. It had good drinks and bar food. The air conditioner worked great, it was 100 degrees out and it kept up. We saved a lot of money stopping here and we really enjoyed our stay. Bed is very comfortable.

Wonderful affordable motel in middle-of-nowhere along I-90! Super friendly couple that run the motel and the bar next door. Rooms very comfy and very clean. Firm bed with nice sheets and nice soft towels. Window AC unit cranked out the cool and smart tv. Fun friendly affordable locals bar onsite with $6 hamburgers, beers and pool table. Nice mix of local farmers and highway travelers. Quick service.

Barb was great! Check in was smooth. Loved having two king beds for our tall family. Small patio out front of room to enjoy the nice weather. Suggested dinner at local pub on motel property. Meal was delicious as well.

The Little Motel You Never Knew You NEEDED
We LOVED staying at Gerry's Motel - it was, by far, the best place we've stayed at on our road trip. Upon arrival, we had to call to check in, and Barb was immediately over to help us. She got us checked in and invited us over to the bar for dinner. The room was so clean and cozy - way better than any affordable motel in larger towns (and safer too!). We went over to the bar to eat - the food was great and affordable! We really enjoyed unwinding there after a day of driving. We sat out on the front steps outside of our room to watch the sunset and enjoy the beautiful prairie evening. Don't book this place if you're expecting amenities and things to do. This is purely a place to stay as you drive along I-90; but it is so much better than anything in Mitchell or larger surrounding towns. Gerrys Motel was QUIET, CLEAN, SAFE - not sure what else you could ask for! I can confidently say that we will happily stay at Gerrys Motel the next time we find ourselves driving across South Dakota.
