Gorgeous seclusion!
This place is special. As described, it is beautifully situated on a private lake deep in the countryside of Michigan’s upper peninsula, while offering every comfort of home. We took full advantage of the fire pit, lake view, and the trails. Our host was very responsive when we had questions. The ONLY reason I have it 4 stars in “cleanliness”is due to flies, which is to be expected in a wooded setting.

This place is perfect for people that want to get away from it all. The pictures don’t do it justice as it is so beautiful and peaceful and remote. It was so nice to get away from everything to spend time with our kids and fish and relax. The hosts Greg and Katie are very responsive.

Perfect Birthday getaway
A group of us went to celebrate a 40th birthday. This place was everything we were looking for. It was very secluded with no neighbors in sight! There were 11 of us and 2 dogs. We did a lot of fishing and paddle boarding (the boat and 2 paddle boards were provided at no extra cost!). Being from the city we all really enjoyed star gazing and we all saw shooting stars. The house was clean, the kitchen was well stocked and there was laundry on site. 10/10 would recommend staying here and we hope to rent this place again. Host was very responsive and readily answered all of our questions. Major plus for being a pet friendly property

Can't beat the privacy
Nothing but great things to say about the location and property. We came up in the summer and had so much fun enjoying the lake. The owner was gracious and communicated extremely well with all of our questions. I do wish that the beach area had a little bit more care put into it and the deck has some alarmingly large gaps for small children feet and pets. We will definitely come back to get off the grid again though!

Memorial in Trembath
Trembath Lake was a beautiful place to stay. Our trip had a purpose...to memorialize a loved one taken way too soon. The privacy of 640 acres was wonderful along with having a private lake to fish. The house was very roomy and was very comfortable even during the lulls of our trip. The house was well stocked and make the trip even easier on us. With so many windows, the house cools down very fast at night despite no AC. We were very comfortable and felt right at home. Watching the beavers leave and enter their dam was one of the highlights of our stay. Never thought we would enjoy having a rainy day either! The only downside was the trails being very over grown so it wasnt an option for us at that time. Wish we had been there long enough to figure out the secret to catching more fish. Other than that, we would heavily recommend Trembath Lake for a private stay away from the craziness of day to day.

We hiked as well as rode ATV on the trails, fished the lake and just had a wonderful time relaxing enjoying the beautiful view. Jodi is a great host. We had contacted her a few times and she was quick to answer our questions and assist when we were lost! Thank you, Jodi! We are looking forward to returning next year.

Perfect!
What a beautiful, peaceful, and perfect place this was for our UP get away. If you are looking for a secluded, quiet spot, this is it! The home itself is absolutely gorgeous with large windows looking out onto the lake. The living room and kitchen share a double sided fireplace, and both rooms have plenty of space for guests to gather. The two downstairs bedrooms are nicely sized and look out onto the lake. The upstairs loft is divided into two bedrooms which again are ample sized and set up well. They too look over the lake, but with smaller windows. The deck is large and wraps around three sides of the house. The front hosts a fire pit with lots of seating. The back has a screened in area with table and seating as well as a large outer space with table, chairs, and space to sun bathe and/or enjoy the view. The provided paddle boards, kayak, row boat, and pontoon allow guests to explore the lake, and there are trails around the property that allow for more exploration. What absolutely made our stay perfect, though, were the detailed & welcoming touches throughout and the care and consideration put into making guests feel at home and welcome to enjoy the space. Just to name a few: A welcome note & fixings for S'mores on the table, marshmallow roasting sticks hanging out by the firepit, firewood cut and stacked both inside and out, with the fireplaces prepped and ready to light, fully stocked kitchen for food prep (including basic spices), binoculars for looking out to the lake, and many more. We did contact the caretakers a couple of times during our stay, and they responded kindly and quickly to our needs.

Everthing exceed our expectations. If you are a person who expects roomservice or housekeeping, look elsewhere. But no amount of money could buy you the most luxurious rustic experience, truly of the grid and self sustained (Don't forget your ORV to enjoy more than 600 acres of trails)

Number 1 on vacations!
This place is absolutely beautiful! Completely secluded. The house was perfect for our 2 families. (Kids ages 19 to 23) Pontoon, john boat and kayaks were great for fishing around the lake. We caught several 3 to 5lbs bass, pike and crappie. We even saw a moose swimming across the lake. Tons of space to hike or ride ATV. Lots of deck space to hang out and chill. We cooked out on the campfire every night even though the gas grill was available Jodi was a great host. Although we didnt really need her because everything was provided and house was well stocked. We will be back for sure. If you are looking for peace and quit this is the house for you
