Romantic trip
A relaxing stay with an amazing location. A quick walk to the local beach and a very convenient walk to the Old Venetian Harbor. We loved the surrounding area. Anna-Maria was spot on in all of her recommendations, which we received upon arrival and she made notes on a local map which we referred to regularly. We had a beautiful room with private pool and terrace. Everything was fabulous.

What a great place to stay. We stayed in one of the corner rooms on the 4th floor for 5 days. This hotel felt very luxurious, but what made it really special was the staff. They were so warm and kind, especially Kostas and another female server (not sure her name but curly hair and blue eyeliner). The views were incredible and our room was also so clean. The area was ideal as your between the old town and nea Chora. We also really appreciated the parking. Would definitely stay again

Amazing hotel in a great location
This hotel is fantastic, one of the best we have stayed in. The executive suite was spacious- as a family of 4 we usually have two large rooms and we worried that staying in one suite instead might have been tricky but it was absolutely fine, plenty of space for us all. Particularly loved the balcony. Staff were amazing - housekeeping, reception, breakfast and pool bar were all so helpful and friendly, always there to help with whatever was needed. Amazing hotel in a great location
This hotel is fantastic, one of the best we have stayed in. The executive suite was spacious- as a family of 4 we usually have two large rooms and we worried that staying in one suite instead might have been tricky but it was absolutely fine, plenty of space for us all. Particularly loved the balcony. Staff were amazing - housekeeping, reception, breakfast and pool bar were all so helpful and friendly, always there to help with whatever was needed. Couldn’t recommend highly enough 😊

Staying at Sansal was a wonderful experience. The architecture is well thought out, the minimalist style is fresh and beautiful. The linens / towels are crisp and fresh. The staff are friendly, accommodating, and professional. I hardly can wait to return!!!

Never have we stayed at a property that so exactly met expectations based on the booking website. We were greeted with the news of an upgrade and delighted by the welcome gift of a bottle of local wine. Our room was pristine, comfortable and spacious. I particularly liked that the two pillows on the very comfortable bed were firm and soft so you could choose your preference. Our water view was stunning and enjoyed our wine on the balcony. The staff is friendly and very helpful and the breakfast was tasty with quite a bit of variety. We enjoyed the splash pool on the top floor particularly since my husband is not a beach fan and enjoyed conversations with other guests. It's also a great place for a sunset cocktail. The young woman who checked us in gave us several suggestions for dinner. We highly recommend AlmyVita (amazing food and cocktails) and Salis. My only recommendation would be luggage racks. There was plenty of floor and closet space but no where to place bags in an elevated spot. We prefer not to place bags on furniture.

A week in Chania
A very enjoyable week in Chania and the Sansal Boutique hotel. Hotel is about 3 minutes walk from the old town waterfront so is ideally located. Some parking is available at the hotel but probably not enough spaces if every guest has a car but there was only one night we couldn’t get a space and there is plenty of free street parking around the hotel. Very friendly staff, in particular Anna Maria on reception and Kostas and Zoe serving breakfast. Hotel has a pool on the roof - probably not enough loungers if every guest wanted to use it but the terrace seemed to be little used by other guests when we were there. Would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chania.

This boutique hotel is beachfront. It is walking distance from the lighthouse, the town center, and many restaurants and shops. Zoey greeted us with a welcome drink upon arrival and spent time explaining a map of places that are easily accessible near the hotel. She was amazing! The hotel is Modern and clean. Rooms are very spacious. Water pressure and temperature is excellent. The beach front balconies are accessible with floor to ceiling sliding doors. Bedding, towels, robes and air condition are on par with 5 star hotel. We had a wonderful stay. Highly recommended. We would definitely return to this property. The only downside to this property is the construction of a new building next door. Early morning noise of jackhammers. No fault of this hotel.

SanSal is such a lovely place to stay. My boyfriend and I stayed for just over a week and had such a wonderful time. The room was excellent and the hotel itself is great. The breakfast was lovely, loads of options! It’s a really quick walk to get to the harbour or to the beach and there are loads of dining options nearby. The staff at the hotel are just lovely - they really seem to want you to have a great stay and have great knowledge of the area. I’d definitely stay again!
