Conveniently located by center
Area (Charleston) was sketchy, but hotel was pretty nice on the inside. It's convenient if you are going to a concert at the civic center.

It was Ok
The welcome staff was friendly. The room was clean, the breakfast was ok. Unfortunately, the mini fridge did not work so we had to put ice for our cooler instead. The hotel offered to move our room; however we were unpacked for the night already. Shower drain was clogged because after a couple of minutes in the shower your foot is under water.

It was an experience.
It was a very chaotic environment outside. Staff were friendly but guests were loud and negative. There were events nearby that may have added to the chaos. The hotel itself was clean.

The property will not honor the room type you book despite not being oversold or sold out. Reached out to property direct as well as through Expedia customer service since that’s how the res was booked and the property told Expedia “no” and refused to just PRICE MATCH the difference since they put me in a double queen instead of the king I booked. Bad service.

Was okay for the area
The check in process went okay, except that it was a child that greeted us instead of an adult. It took a little while for an adult to actually appear to check us in. The room was okay as well. Nothing spectacular at all and not enough towels for the 3 of us. I had to go down later and ask for more towels. That ended up taking a good 20 minutes because nobody answered the phone when I called. I don't blame the front end person, however, because a lot of people were trying to buy sodas and snacks and needed to pay her for them but couldn't seem to figure it all out. This person was the second person I encountered at the hotel, and she was very friendly and helpful. The person who checked us out the next morning was also very personable. The hotel itself was pretty loud with a lot of raucous guests and thin walls, but it was well located for us to walk/drive to the downtown area, so that was nice.
