This was intended as a special birthday trip for my fiancé. While we appreciated the decor and found the staff to be very pleasant, our overall experience did not meet our expectations based on past visits to Charlotte, NC.
Upon arrival, we were assigned a double Queen room that was spacious with a great view and an impressive shower. However, we encountered several issues. The air conditioning in the original room was not functioning, and despite notifying the front desk, the room remained warm until a technician was able to reset the newly installed A/C. Although the room was cool by the time we returned, we faced another problem when we returned after 2 AM—the room was warm again. We were then moved to a different room on a higher floor.
The new room, while cooler and more comfortable, was not as spacious, and the view was significantly less pleasant. Additionally, the TV remote in the new room was nonfunctional, preventing us from using the TV. Furthermore, the parking pass we purchased for an additional $30 per night did not work, resulting in an extra $12 charge for parking on our second night.
While we acknowledge the efforts of the staff, the overall experience did not align with the luxury we anticipated given the price of our stay. We hope this feedback is helpful and that future guests will benefit from these observations.
