Th air conditioning WAS NOT WORKING CORRECTLY. I had to call maintenance twice and the AC still not work. I have pictures with the temperature in the room 77 degrees. How can someone rest well in a room this hot. Terrible experience!

I landed at Charlotteā€™s Airport 8:22 am. The hotel driver had an attitude and didnā€™t want to even take me to the hotel. Upon arriving at the hotel I had to wait from 8:45 until 2:00 pm in order not to pay the $50.00 early check in fees! The breakfast buffet was 21.00. I was told that my breakfast would not start until Saturday morning. I ironed my dress and stains from the ironing got on my dress. I had to hand wash and use the blow dryer to dry my dress because they didnā€™t have a laundry room smh! The positive side was that the managers attempted to fix some items and they have the best cookies

Iā€™m really disappointed in my experience at the DoubleTree by Hilton South Charlotte Tyvola. After days of being displaced due to the tragic events in taken place in my home, Asheville, I was extremely relieved to have booked a room here. As we begin to settle in, I noticed ants crawling throughout the room: on the bed, walls, dressers, ground ect. The ants continued to show up all over, so in attempt to request a room change i spoke to Kim/Kimmie at the front desk who was the manager for the night. I was aware the hotel was at full capacity due to many others being in similar situations and the only presented solution was to offer bug spray and have someone ā€œcheck on itā€. Due to my limited options and tiresome few days, I attempted to deal with the ants but they were never ending. I asked Kim/Kimmie if I could just have a refund, she responded with im welcome to check out but I will be unable to receive a refund because there was no housekeeping to clean the room for turn over and I was there for half a day ( after clarifying half a day was 4 hours, it was determined we were there for less than half a day). We also provided videos. The room was barely touched, so my interpretation was the ONLY reason I could not get a refund is because they couldnā€™t make money off that ONE room for ONE night. Every other employee there was really supportive and emphatic which I appreciate. I left without a refund and drove 3 hours to garner to have a place to sleep.

The staff do not have respect for each other. One of them seemed new and nobody took time to help him when he needed. Also booked a king bed room and they gave us a queen instead. No accommodations was given.

The rooms are spacious and clean. I did not like that the shuttle service ends at 11 pm. The bathroom face basin was not cleaned with hair strands in it, the bathtub was not properly cleaned and the bathroom door would not close . We had to kill a spider on one of the beds. The rug inside the elevator was really dirty late night and also at 9am. The property I feel was really nice years ago but in its present state is declining . Property needs to be refreshed. Iā€™ve visited much nicer properties in the same $150-$200 range.

The stay was great from check-in to check-out. Staff was friendly and helpful and had me checked-in and checked-out quickly! The room was spacious, quiet and clean. And the restaurant offers great breakfast and lunch options while the bar/lounge offers great drink and dinner options at night. Try one of their drink specials; the smoked old fashioned is one of their specialities! Super convenient location -- right off I-77 with a lot of shopping and food nearby.

We booked this hotel for the hotel shuttle and breakfast. Upon arrival at the Charlotte airport we contacted the hotel to arrange for the shuttle. We were told where to go to meet the shuttle. After waiting for half an hour we call the hotel again regarding the shuttle. We were told they were on the way and would arrive shortly. Ultimately we took alternative transportation after waiting for an hour. Upon arrival at the hotel the shuttle was sitting at the hotel with no driver present. We were told by another Hilton employee that this property often ā€œplays gamesā€ with the shuttle and does not provide the shuttle as advertised. Additionally, we had paid for the breakfast at the time of booking. At check in the manager told us breakfast was an additional charge. After informing him we had prepaid he then decided we had only paid for one which made no sense since we booked the room for two people. He did give us a voucher for two breakfasts. Just disappointing to have these issues when the Double Tree brand usually provides excellent services. Apparently, the shuttle is once every hour which is fine if they follow through which was not the case in our situation.

beds and rooms clean ,had to go up one floor for ice, paid for breakfast in advance and then we got bill for 38.00 because we ate a different items we wasn't suppose .. i would rate this hotel 2-2 1/2 stars. signs outside from police ,not to leave anything in vehicle , u may lose it,cost u 12 dollars to park outside ur room. i wont be back.
