This beautiful tastefully decorated house dates from the 17th century. It has a large kitchen opening onto an ample living area with a very large fireplace. On the first floor, there are 3 bedrooms, a bathroom, a shower room, and a separate toilet. On the second floor, there are 3 bedrooms, a toilet, a dormitory with 4 beds, and a shower room.
The house, which is perched on a hill and the garden full of charm, offers exceptional views over the valley and the Epte River. Less than 1 hour from the centre of Paris, it is a stunning, quiet, green haven.
By the Epte, the natural and historic border between Ile-de-France and Normandy, the house is located right in the heart of the nature park of the Vexin. The surrounding countryside offers many activities and excursions.

Really nice house in a peaceful scenic location. Very rustic, French house. Gardens are really nice with outdoor eating areas, seating, hammocks and ping pong. Location is great for catching a train from Vernon to various places - we traveled to Rouen and Paris. Laurent as host is very pleasant, relaxed and helpful!

Despite some varied weather Laurents wonderful home and setting made up for everything. When we walked through the beautiful gates it is truly a wow moment. From the stone arbour looking over the beautiful valley to the crackle of the fire Guy Fawkes would have been proud of we had a great time. Laurent was the perfect host and provided us with any information we may have needed

Wonderful Stay in Chateau Sur Epte
This is a large 17th c house and garden with wonderful details throughout. We were a group of eight: four in their 20's, four in their 60's. There was plenty of room in the house, and there were many special areas in the garden. The countryside is just beautiful. The RER from Cergy le Haut gets you to the center of Paris. We all loved our two weeks here.

A hidden gem!
My family and 2 other families of friends booked for a week stay. There were 6 adults and 5 children so was hoping the house would be big enough and it didn't disappoint. The kids loved the dormitory style room so they could all play together in one large room. The adults loved the large fire place and bar area. The kitchen was fully equipped with all the gadgets and the 2 dishwashers came in very handy. The kids made full use of the garden even in below freezing temperatures. The homely feel of the property made you relax and feel at ease. Michelle was welcoming and assisted us with everything in the house (even with the lack of English on her half and the lack of French on ours) The only draw back of this house is that is doesn't have a village within walking distance (it was a little too far for the kids) but we did enjoy walking around the countryside. I would definitely recommend this house as its a great winter retreat!!

Nous avons passĆ© un trĆØs agrĆ©able sĆ©jour dans cette maison familiale , agrĆ©able en hiver grĆ¢ce Ć  sa cheminĆ©e et les couettes bien chaudes . Cuisine super bien Ć©quipĆ©e qui bous a permis de passer le week-end Ć  cuisiner malgrĆ© la pluie . Dommage que cela se soit fini par un refus catĆ©gorique de la dame ouvrant la maison de nous dĆ©panner en batterie ( estimant que cela aller lui esquinter sa voiture ....) nous avons donc passer 1 h a attendre sous la pluie qu ā€˜ une voiture s arrĆŖte en pleine campagne et gentiment nous dĆ©panne !! Mais bravo au propriĆ©taire Laurent qui a beaucoup de goĆ»t .

La maison et l'emplacement Ć©tait parfait pour notre week end au calme et pas trĆØs loin d'un RER (30min de Cergy le Haut). Les chambres sont nombreuses et la maison est idĆ©ale pour un week end entre amis avec quelques enfants, on en famille. Nous avons passĆ© un trĆØs bon moment et n'hĆ©siterions pas pour y revenir.
