About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

The Eyrie - Peaceful sanctuary steps from the beach and provincial park!

The Eyrie is about a thousand sq feet, with a combined kitchen, dining and living space. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to make the perfect summer meal - from utensils to pots and pans, a bbq and everything in between. Guests will only need to bring the food and drinks they want for their stay. The cozy dining space is perfect for an intimate meal or a party of 6! The open-concept living space is perfect to settle into a nice book or evening by the TV with a sofa, wicker love seat and chair, and (my favourite) poang chair. Not that you'll need it during summer stays, but the natural gas fireplace fills the room with warmth on those chillier nights. There is also a bookshelf with plenty of books to choose from with many bestselling authors - perfect for relaxing at the cottage during some downtime. For livelier times, there is a smart speaker that you can use to stream music and many board/party games to enjoy!

But you didn’t come to Rondeau to sit inside, did you? At the back of the house there is a lovely screened-in porch that exits off of the kitchen. This serene and comfortable spot is the perfect place to enjoy your book or just sit and chat if the pesky mosquitoes are out! The relaxing muskoka chairs and outdoor sectional are the perfect spots to enjoy an evening beverage. Behind the house there is an expansive backyard with plenty of room to roam. In the morning, sit out there and drink your coffee with the sounds of birds chirping. In the afternoon, grab one of our many yard games and unleash your competitive spirit. In the evening, fire up the natural gas BBQ and cook some delicious steaks before settling in to a perfect bonfire complete with marshmallows and s’mores.

Surrounding the cottage you have access to so many spectacular outdoor spaces and activities. Without even entering the park, you can take the 3 minute walk to the shallow, semi-private beach for a day in the sun or take a stroll to Rondeau Bay to watch the sunset. If you’re hungry but don’t want to cook, there’s a fantastic restaurant steps away from the front door. After your meal, indulge in an ice cream cone from Bayview Market! Inside the park, your adventure gets even greater. Enjoy many different walking trails/bike paths, catch sight of dozens of different types of birds, spot a timid deer wandering down the road, visit the Rondeau Visitor Centre for a full 101 on everything that Rondeau has to offer wildlife, grab your fishing rod and head to the bay for some A+ fishing, or launch your boat at the public ramp and cruise around Lake Erie until the sun goes down. The possibilities are endless!

It is a beautiful cottage. Plenty of space. It was nice and peaceful there. So glad there was a pass for Rondeau available for use. We are talking about renting again for next year.
