Charming Cabin, 6 miles from Mackinac Bridge, sleeps 6 on 10 secluded acres

ATTENTION JUNE AND OCTOBER GUESTS! It will be chilly, and the only heat source is a wood burning stove. Keep that in mind when booking, thanks! Converted Pole-Barn into summer home, 12 minutes to Mack City and the ferries. 10 acres all to yourself, no neighbors, fire-pits, fun Hawaiian bar, basketball hoop, corn hole. 2 bedrooms, queen beds. Pull-out couch in living room, also 2 additional couches that people tend to sleep on. Bathroom/shower/hot water, towels, linens, pillows, hot plate, cookware, utensils, coffee maker (bring your own coffee), all the basics you might need EXCEPT heat/ac and an oven. There's a half mile trail that encircles the property. NO WIFI SORRY! Everyone that's rented so far has loved it! Most properties this size and this close to Mackinac are pricey, so this is a great deal. It's not fancy, but it's exactly what everyone comes up north for: Relaxation, laughs around the campfire, day trips to The Island, and quality time spent with family and friends.

Peaceful cabin in the woods
This place is a true gem. It's close enough to the excitement of Mackinaw but far enough away for you to escape to the peace and quiet of the countryside. My family really enjoyed our stay and the recommendations from the host were top notch.

Love the trail throughout the woods on the property! High quality CD player with many good jams :) not overly fancy but exactly what you want from a northern Michigan getaway. Super close to mackinaw and beaches in the area. Communication with the host was incredible.

Family bonding time
Last minute decision to book this place and it was well worth it. Got to hang out with family by the fire and watch the kids play in the woods. Much needed vacation only wish it was longer but next time will be.

Peaceful and relaxing!
It was great to disconnect and relax during this secluded stay. Plenty of options for fun here, we played some board games and threw on some vinyl. I’d love to see what this place is like in the fall!

Nice time
Great communication with the owners, always available. Location was great not far from Mackinac Island, Mill Creek, Cheboygen. The kids loved catching frogs. Was nice and clean. We had everything we needed.

Fun getaway
Everything was great annd exactly ans described. although it was impossible to contact anyone if needed because we had absolutely zero service, (This was something the host warned us about but didn’t realize the extent of it, but we definitely didn’t and don’t fault the host what so ever) even when going into town it was very spotty if even that. Make sure to bring DVDS for kids because the ones provided are for adults mainly of the male gender. We had a few rainy days so we were stuck inside. Also - bug spray bug spray bug spray! We used spray but it was still pretty unbearable. These are just suggestions to have a more enjoyable stay. All in all though, we loved the games provided both outside and the few inside, the option to grill, have a fire, the trails and atmosphere outside were nice. We got to see the biggest snapping turtle outside in the yard during one of the rain storms so that was pretty cool. The price we paid was definitely worth the stay. Nothing fancy but a place to make memories.

Lovely get away
My wife and I took a week to settle down a bit after getting married and this was the perfect opportunity. We’re used to keeping a stove burning in the cold and none of the stores being super close which was nice. This property really is in the best location for anyone who loves the outdoors. No cell service or internet really helps keeping things simple while allowing you to truly unwind for a while. If you want to get away from today’s craziness there’s no other place in my opinion that comes close. Get out there, enjoy nature and enjoy being away from your phone for a while.

Relaxing Getaway
We were looking for a place that forced us to unplug, slow down and yet still be close to some attractions. We found it here! My wife and I had just that so thank you for allowing us to enjoy your great space. Bonus we were able to bring our 6 month old puppy along. She loved exploring and stretching her legs out.

Reconnection
Sometimes all you need is a quiet place in the middle of the woods to reconnect with nature, self, and what it means to be living. This for me, is that place. My parents had a great time wandering the trail, cooking on the grill and watching the kids catch frogs. Amazing spot for a good book, coffee, and Bigfoot/Alien sightings. Great family adventure! Highly recommend 10/10!

Cozy and secluded
Cool on the outside, cool on the inside. Loved the open concept. Very private, but conveniently located near the Mackinac bridge. We enjoyed some cool trails around the property, played some basketball, and had a nice campfire. Loved that it was pet friendly. If your looking for a great experience, this is a hidden gem!
