Our spacious, newly remodeled home on the Narraguagus River in Cherryfield features 2 bedrooms (king in master and 2 twins in second bedroom loft), 2 bathrooms, laundry in first floor bath, and an open floor plan kitchen, dining and living room. Well water has great pressure with an electric water heater. Propane gas heat in the living room and propane stove in the kitchen along with built in microwave / range hood.
Utilities included, but please note, there is high speed internet supplied by Swift Net 100mg.
TV is a streaming service. Bring your own account for Netflix etc. Direct TV streaming and Roku is supplied.
ATV access road is right outside the driveway. Drive on the streets to the Sunrise trail then to the mountains of Maine. Maine registration in needed. Apply online. https://www.maine.gov/ifw/atv-snowmobile/atv/index.html
Access to the river is right in front of the House. There are stairs and a ramp down to the river for fishing or to launch your kayak or canoe. Supposed to be great fishing so I'm told. Bring your kayaks or canoe.
Great spot to travel to the Scoodic Arcadia park. And you can take a ferry over to Bar Harbor from Winter Harbor http://downeastwindjammer.com/ferries/bar-harbor-schoodic-winter-harbor/
This takes you over to Bar Harbor and the main Arcadia park. Leave your car at Winter Harbor and take the free island bus to explore the island and Arcadia National park. Or take the hour drive over yourself. Also there is Tunk lake and mountain 5 minutes from your front door which has great hiking trails. Or search out the things to do in Downeast Maine. Or just relax in the outside chairs, hammock and lounge provided to you. Watch the eagles and nature and enjoy the quiet solitude of the home and 5 acres.
Great food in Milbridge and markets. 3 min away. In Cherryfield center there is a great coffee and lunch cafe called the Pasley Loon. The baked goods are to die for.
The property is sprayed for ticks and mosquitoes every month. If you are going to be on the property you will be notified of the spraying. It is harmless to pets and humans.

Perfect getaway
Lovely, remote location, yet just minutes to groceries & gas. Home was clean & comfortable and stocked with all the essentials. We enjoyed the peacefulness of sitting by the river and watching the deer that came out to visit daily. Easy access to DEST. This was a perfect place to come “home” to after a long day of riding the trials. Looking forward to staying again next summer! Thank you Dave

Great rustic stay
We had a great time, we enjoyed our stay. the views were great. We did not do any activities as we were visiting my sister. The directions to the house were good, missed it the first pass, but found it on the next pass. The place was as advertised, and we had no problems. Our only issue was the stairs, they are on the steep side which can be an issue when carrying luggage. All in all a great trip

Peaceful Paradise
This is a wonderful, private, well maintained and very comfortable house on beautiful property, surrounded by nature right on a lovely river with a meadow across the river. We saw multiple deer and eagles in the trees above us. The owners are very easy to deal with and make sure we have everything we need. The house is also tastefully decorated. A real pleasure. We hope to be back!

Lovely spot on the Narraguagus River
This is a really nice place in a beautiful setting, overlooking the Narraguagus River. We saw a fox, deer and eagles. The open space on the first floor was perfect for our family - great views, lots of room to spread out, a wonderful gas fireplace. We cooked most of our meals in the well equipped kitchen with a full size stove and fridge. The location is very private but it does not feel isolated - Cherryfield has a nice cafe, the Paisley Loon; and we also enjoyed Vasquez Mexican food and Chipman's fish chowder. You can tell that the owners have done a lot of work to make this a superior spot to rent. (Note that the 2nd bedroom is a loft like space without a door)

Quiet getaway. Highly recommend!
This place was perfect for us. It was very clean & comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. The view of the sunset reflecting on the river was beautiful. Great place to relax after going on hikes. The kitchen is larger than I expected which allowed us to make most of our meals there, enabling us to enjoy the home even more without having to run out to eat. Quiet and very peaceful. We're glad to have come upon this opportunity.

Nature at its best!
What a great spot to kick back, put your feet up and enjoy the beauty of Mother Nature doing her thing. We spent the week exploring by ATV, such a wonderful trail system to just take in the beauty that Maine has to offer along with the spectacular fields of wild blueberries as far as the eye can see. The house was a perfect retreat after a day on the trails, having everything we needed to end our days creating some great meals and putting our feet up. The house has been nicely renovated and the property was a great spot for our dog to explore. We had visits everyday of deer and even some little ones who were so fun to watch as they played while Mama had her fill of apples. The river follows the tide of the ocean so it was pretty neat seeing it change, still trying to figure out why the geese also follow the tide. Thank you Dave and Chris you are doing a wonderful job restoring something from the past keep it going it’s going to be an even more spectacular property when you are done with the outside areas. Craig, Darlene & Riley too :)

Perfect Place to Unwind
Our family is always looking for a place to recharge and relax on vacation. We like exploring the outdoors (well, 3 out of 4 of us do) and checking out Antique and unique stores, as well as trying small hole in the wall places to eat. You can find all of this close to the house, and even more if you branch out a little farther, which in rural Maine is par for the course. Driving an hour to get somewhere is something we expect, but were happy that there was the convenience of grocery stores and gas stations within a 10 minute drive. We would recommend checking out Deano's for inexpensive, the steak bomb fires are out of this world! The Java Jointright down the road serves a delicious cup of coffee. We explored the Hollingsworth trail, and there are several other trails close by. We also took a day to visit Winter Harbor and the Schoodic Peninsula loop, as well as Bar Harbor and Acadia the next day. The view from the top of Cadillac Mountain is unparalleled. As far as the house, being nosy I looked up the property on Zillow. The before pictures depict a bare bones hunting cabin. Dave and Chris really put a lot of thought into renovating the home. Downstairs the picture windows and french doors make you feel like you are outside even when you are inside. The kitchen is well equipped. The bathrooms both have nice big showers. Outside there are plenty of places to sit and relax and enjoy nature, our favorite spot was right by the fire pit over looking the ririver.

A Lovely Getaway
Some of our family decided to enjoy the beautiful views of The DownEast Sunrise Trail on our new ATVs. This cozy little 'home' in the woods on a beautiful river gave us a wonderful, clean and comfortable place to land. It is about halfway on the trail and made it possible to experience the whole stretch with and without the rain. Thanks again !!
