Very convenient for walking around Chester town centre. Slept on the sofa bed which was not comfortable and needs a better mattress. Apart from that, we had a lovely stay here.

Greeted by lady on Reception who was eating as she attempted to talk. She never gave a good review of Chester. We tried asking about an Uber taxi to take us to a Restaurant that we booked, said Uber was not operating in Chester. She also said only one taxi company operated in Chester. I booked an Uber (So not sure about her comment) Room was narrow and small for a double. Breakfast was terrible, bacon, sausage was overcooked and very tough! Scrambled eggs were like eating rubber, orange juice had a strange taste. Bread for toast was best of poor offering!

The hotel was situated so that we only had a short stroll before reaching the beautiful town centre. So for location it was excellent, however, for myself personally, the hotel was far too noisy. We had to ask to move rooms as our first room was located on the front, which was next to an extremely busy, noisy road. We were then moved to the back, which was slightly better but still was lots of noise, trains going by, workmen making loud noise, a dull humming noise. I didn’t really get much sleep over the 2 nights and for that reason I wouldn’t return to this hotel. I couldn’t fault anything else, staff etc were very good.

Great hotel with parking and just a stones throw away from the centre of Chester. Very friendly helpful staff and Breakfast included. I've stayed her 3x now. What more can you say.

Excellent choice for a city break. The parking is easy, right next to the hotel. Easy walking distance to the city sights. The hotel was modern, clean and the staff friendly and helpful. Would stay there again.

The Parking is owned by the race course but when we arrived at the security point they had our name and after I'd paid the guard £10 per night (no concessions for blue badges) we parked up fairly close to the hotel entrance. It would be great though if people were told beforehand how the Hotel parking worked. The reception staff were always friendly and helpful and we found it easier to order taxis through them (cutting out the automated booking system that the taxis use) The breakfast was good too. The hotel is very close to the centre of the city but at the moment they are doing road works in many central areas.

Good location for the town centre. We were allocated a disabled room, the bedroom was fine but the bathroom was very clinical, lots of bits of rust visible and could have been cleaner. Breakfast was satisfactory. Staff friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was good and the staff polite and helpful. The hotel is well located. The Holiday Inn room booking process is poor. A standard room means allocation of either twin or double on arrival, as I discovered on arrival to my room and with no option to change or cancel. Specifically requested a double but allocated a twin for three nights. Chester has many hotels and had I realised this was likely, I would have booked elsewhere. I stay in hotels 45 nights for year and have done for 35 years or so. This is the first time this has happened to me.

Great place to stay for a short break in Chester, parking which is always a problem for city stays is right outside for £10.Just a short walk up to the city centre. Hotel had everything we needed inc free wi-fi and breakfast included, will be staying again now we've found it
