If youā€™re looking for an authentic experience in a 200 year old home - with tons of wonderful history and true early American character - youā€™ll love this stay! This is NOT a shiny new hotel, with all the conveniences. You can forget your free ā€œmake-your-own hot breakfastā€ deal. This chef-curated breakfast was fresh, carefully crafted, and delicious! The eggs were light, fluffy and flavorful. The bacon was thick and cooked perfectly. And OMG, the homemade Belgian waffles were literally covered with fresh blueberries and powdered sugar! Yes!!

This bed and breakfast has lots of charm for an 1800s building. The chefs are graduates of Culinary Institute of America so breakfast was yummy. They also have an attached ā€œeateryā€ thatā€™s open on weekends. We visited during the week so missed eating dinner there.

Friendly, kind, comfortable
Very kind and courteous people running the Inn. They've done a lot of upkeep, and the property is lovely. I had the room at the top, which was a bit cramped, but it was clean and comfortable. The grounds are lovely and the dinner service was excellent. Breakfast gave you a choice, which was a nice touch.

Photos are deceitful. 2 dead bugs in bath. 1 live spider and various spider webs in bath Taking damp tissue and wiping bath floor, it was nasty black and dirty Pubic hair on tub wall - no bath mat, towels were worn out. We paid for more than 1 nite; left after 1 nite. A horrible - awful experience.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Stone Hearth Inn and Eatery. The house was built in 1810 and has been lovingly restored by Vicki and her family. It is located in the charming town of Chester, VT. She serves a first class breakfast each morning in a bright sunny room that overlooks the beautiful grounds

My wife and I spent a night at the inn and loved it. Very cool 214 year old building lovingly brought back to life by Vicky and her family. Clean, comfortable and charming. The food was also amazing.
