Boat house on the sea.

Boathouse is literally sitting on the ocean. With high ceilings, wood floors and beautiful views makes it one of Cheticamp's best rentals. Walking distance to Whale Cruises, restaurants, bars, and cofee shop, property is perfect. Only 10 minutes to the National Park. You will fall in love with the view, the ocean, the sal air and the sound of boats going by with their catch of lobster. Make this space your central location to visit the island. This is ground level, upstairs another rental.

There are two bedrooms in this rental and one king size bed in the open concept living room. There is another unit on the second floor.

Parking is street side. It is very well lit and we have never had any issues, it is a very safe area:)

The downtown area is quite nice and you are situated right on the boardwalk. Please take the time to take a stroll by the water and drop in at Marquerite boutique et Provisions for a fresh coffee and locally baked goods.

Love this place!
Just finished our second stay at this wonderful property. It is truly lovely. We enjoy sitting outside on the deck watching the boats and the family of seagulls that is set up residence on the edge of the decking. Cheticamp is a great little town. We will be back.

family time in the highlands
This was a perfect choice for home base to explore the highlands with our two young adult children. A short drive to the famous Skyline trail and the beautiful drive beyond. Also great location for whale watching tour that was basically next door. And yes, we saw whales (and a leatherback turtle). Large deck to sip wine, watch the cows on Cheticamp Island, and enjoy the sunset. Would definitely recommend!

Very unique place - great location
This was definitely one of the best spots we stayed on our trip from St. John's to Toronto. To be right there, over the ocean was a real trip. Comfortable accommodation, close to restaurants. A perfect stop along the Cabot Trail.

Perfect Stop
This was a last minute booking for one night and it was pretty seamless. Check-in was easy and it was exactly what we needed. We suggest having a little milk in the fridge for making tea and coffee…that would be a nice touch.

The house was very clean and well kept! The beds were very comfortable, and the view off the deck is great! FYI- It was a bit difficult to find at night since it is set off the road and you have to park by the pizza place. Also, there is another unit upstairs and, when occupied, you can hear every step or noise above you.

The Boathouse on the Sea is a charming property, located right on the water in Cheticamp.
We enjoyed our stay at Boathouse on the Sea very much. The property is quite charming, and the location is priceless...right on the water! The inside looks as if it has recently been redone, and it is very clean and well done. The location is fabulous for accessing the Cabot Trail and beaches on that side of the island. The sunsets from the porch are quite spectacular! And viewing the cattle on Cheticamp Island every day was really cool! A couple of items to be aware of: 1) The listing indicates this is a 3 bedroom property. It does sleep 6 people, however the property is actually a 2 bedroom, and the 3rd bed is located in the living room space. It is also noteworthy to say that the 2 bedrooms are quite small. 2) The kitchen is adequate for preparation of very small and simple meals, but not so much for larger meals...due to limited cookware and space. *Please note that the listing and photographs are not misleading (except number of bedrooms). We would definitely return to Boathouse on the Sea if we were returning to Cheticamp, as we really enjoyed our stay there very much.
