One of the best stays ever.....
We had 8 people, 4 sisters and our adult daughters. The Villa was big enough to easily accommodate us. It was the perfect location to stay while venturing out to all the cities and towns that we wanted to see. The train to Florence was only 15 minutes away and it was a quick 1.5 hours to the most beautiful city in the world. The host, Raffaelle, is on property a lot. At first it was awkward, but he is the nicest man and so sweet, that it worked out just fine. There is no instruction manual in the Villa, so we had to reach out to Raffaelle everyday with questions. Where to take trash? How to run the washing machine? How to use the oven? But he QUICKLY responded and took care of us. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable, the showers hot and the Host was welcoming! Note....you only get one towel per person for the whole stay. I would absolutely stay there again! It was charming, magical and perfect!

Would not come back
Photos are very stylized. Makes the house look very bright and light. It is not. The house is dark. All the bedrooms are dark. When we arrived there was mould on all the showerheads and the washing machine. Towels were very old. The showers are ridiculously small and and a slight knock opened the door and water flooded out. Had a dishwasher but no soaps provided. Went to have a glass of wine and the first 3 glasses I pulled were dirty with lipstick stains. The outside pool area was a shambles. The fake grass carpet was lifted up everywhere, all the chairs were either upside down or flipped on their sides. No outdoor furniture was clean or ready to use. I had to wipe down the table and chairs myself so we could use them. It's a quiet area, but we found the house lacking in most areas, especially for the prices being charged and would never consider returning. Whoever posted the images representing the inside as having lots of natural light is falsely representing the property. Stayz should ask them to re-photograph with realistic images of the inside.

Rural Area But Beautiful Setting
Our group of six (3 couples) spent three nights at this villa and enjoyed our stay. While it’s in a fairly rural area with extremely bumpy roads, the views from the pool are beautiful and the villa is in good shape. We also found some nice restaurants that were no more than 10 minutes away by car. One day we went on an e-bike tour guided by Andrea with Pastrimotors which was both fun and challenging given the hilly terrain. If you’re interested in visiting Montalcino, it’s about an hours drive.

An authentic home with lots of charm. The location was beautiful and was nice to have the pool. The beds were comfortable and lots of rooms. Very clean. The location is good; not far from the town and the Co-op grocery store to get extras; more tp, paper towels and coffee. We had a wonderful time!

Relaxing Tuscan Villa
Such a calm, relaxing place to stay. The villa has lots of room, a nice big kitchen on both floors, and a beautiful pool. The host provided prosecco, wine and sparkling water for us, which was lovely. The highlight of our stay was the cooking class provided by Leonardo. So much fun and lots of food! We had leftovers for the next day. The listing mentions the bbq, however it hadn’t been cleaned, so we couldn’t make use of it- this was our only disappointment. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here very much.

A Lovely Villa in a Great Location
A really good property in a fantastic location - the vineyard opposite the end of the drive is brilliant! Stunning countryside and very convenient for towns such as Chinciano and Montepulciano. Great pool meticulously maintained every day by the owner (don't expect an early morning swim!) The villa is a little "tired" in places - one of the handrails to the pool area was treacherous, for example, and the cutlery/crockery/glassware could be improved. Mosquitoes were a menace but you can't blame the host for them! There could be more information to hand - we wanted to watch the start of the Rugby World Cup on our final night but there was no way to make the TV work and it was late in the evening to contact our host. We had Leo, the owner's son, to cook a meal one night. It was absolutely delicious but a little pricy compared with what we paid at local restaurants. Overall, a brilliant holiday and, despite my small quibbles, I would recommend this property.

Stunning views
Loved our stay .Beautiful location with stunning views over the lush countryside. Couldn't have wished for a better stay . Did have a problem with mosquitos , so plenty of repellent needed. One of the rooms was advertised as a twin but was in fact a double , but Rafael quickly provided bedding for the sofa bed . Location perfect to get about and visit places ... Montepulciano gorgeous place to visit as was Sienna. Local vineyard poggio del Moro was well worth a visit to taste the gorgeous red wines and see the stunning views. Villa perfect to chill and relax , really good size pool 👍and lovely sitting area with barbecue. Would definitely recommend and would 100% return if we visited Tuscany again.

Everything about our stay was wonderful. The host was very helpful, kind and ensured a wonderful experience. The location was perfect for rest and relaxation away from the hustle and bustle and provided for easy day trips to Montalcino, Montepulciano, Assis, etc. . Chianciano Terme is just a short drive away for grocery shopping. We'd highly recommend scheduling a cooking class as well. We had delicious leftovers for several days. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Fantastic Tuscany Base
We stayed in Guido's villa last week and had a great time. We do a villa holiday every year as a big group of (8) friends and this one was one of the best - and certainly had the best pool which we made much use of. We enjoyed being able to have a tour of a local vineyard at Poggio del Moro and visit places like Montepulciano in the evenings. Rosso Vivo Pizzeria Verace was also a great more local pizzeria. Guido and Raf were very responsive on the vrbo chat and were great with our later-than-planned check in. Thanks :)

tuscany in a nutshell!
We were very happy about our stay at the house. It's super cute and so authentic. We definitelly got the vibe of Tuscany! Location is perfect. We were looking for a place to rest and the fact that there are no neighbors right next to you is amazing. The only problem we had was the heat wave so it would be great if the AC unit upstairs were working better. Other than that everything was great! It's a beautiful, authentic house located in a small village, peacefull and quiet. The owner is super nice. He comes to clean the pool every morning. His son is an amazing chef and cooked for us an amazing dinner once. We also got some fresh vegetables from his garden. That is such a uniqe experience! The vineayrd nearby, 5 minutes walking distance is definitelly worth the visit! Amazing wine and great family experience, so welcoming!

Lovely Country Home
We had a near-perfect stay at the villa with days full of sunshine, swimming in the pool, and exploring nearby towns. The house is very comfortable and immaculately kept with a well-stocked kitchen that enabled us to cook most of our meals at home. We loved cooking with Leonardo, the owner's son, so much that we asked him to do two cooking classes with us at the house. We slept well every night and would return to this property in a heartbeat! The only slight negatives were that there isn't a handbook for the house so it's a bit unclear on what to do with garbage, how to open the gate to leave the property, wifi access, etc. The owner was very responsive, so we received the information quickly, but it would be nicer to not have to ask each time. Also, the owner is at the property every day, watering plants, caring for the land, etc. so it was not as private as we expected when booking. Even with those slight issues, we would stay here again and highly recommend the home and location!

Perfect family retreat
We had a wonderful five day stay at Raffaele‘s property. We were a group of parents, grandparents, teenagers and dogs. The layout of the house gave everyone enough space and privacy. The bed linens were very nice, and extra blankets were welcome on chilly mornings. There were plenty of bath towels, too. The kitchens - there are two! - are well equipped. We used the barbecue outside frequently and loved being able to grill with such a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside. The surrounding property is stunning, with olive groves, grape vines and fields as far as the eye can see. Morning coffee on the porch followed by walk through the olive groves was a real highlight for me. The property is about a 10 minute drive to the nearest town and grocery store, and a wonderful butcher. Be sure to ask Raffaele for a recommendation as the butcher is terrific. The train station is approx 20 minutes away. There are a few wineries within walking distance. Pienza is a 30 min drive, Siena and Arezzo are approximately an hour by car. I cannot overstate the charm of the Podere. It is truly a countryside retreat, offering the opportunity to just sit on the porch and look at nature if that is what you like, but with plenty to do if you feel more active. I should know that there is a (completely fenced) pool, but we did not go in as it was a bit chilly. It looks beautiful and is certainly well-maintained. * since I have teenagers, the staunchest critics of Wi-Fi, I will add this: the Wi-Fi is decent. It is exactly what I have found at most places in Italy. If you’re coming from the US you may find it slow. However, I think this is about as fast as it gets in Italy. It is certainly enough to do most things online.

We spent a wonderful 5 days here with adult children. Something for everyone. We enjoyed a cooking class with Raffaele's son in the kitchen. It was centrally located to all amenities: market, stores, vineyards, other towns to visit. While it was too cold for the pool or vegetable garden, Raffaele had bottles of wine and olive oil available. So gracious. We look forward to returning!

Perfect Tuscan Villa in Chianchiano Terme
This villa was everything advertised and more! The property and views are incredible and the pool was perfect for the warm days! But the highlight is the host Raffael! He is the perfect host, greeted us upon arrival with his home made olive oil and local wine (from the vineyard across the road!!). He and his wife and friend made dinner for the six of us on two of the nights we were there - it was fantastic!! The attention to every detail made us feel so welcomed and comfortable. The villa itself is lovely, clean and spacious. I would highly recommend this villa to anyone and hope that some day we may be lucky enough to go back!!

Fantastic Villa in Tuscany!
We had a WONDERFUL week in Tuscany staying in this villa! It was very Tuscan, was large, with all of the required amenities - and the view was breathtaking of the olive trees, grape vines, hills..... It was a great location to explore nearby cities - we visited Montepulciano, San Gimignano, Siena, Radda, Cortona and Lake Tresimo on day trips! In addition, the BEST winery in all of Tuscany - for the wine tasting experience AND the wine is La Cignozza - literally right across the road - we walked to it! The owner brought us fresh tomatoes and homemade olive oil that were delicious! Booking with Guido was very easy and he was always very responsive with our questions. We HIGHLY recommend this villa in Tuscany!

Tuscan Perfection
We have been to Tuscany before but the location and accommodations in the house were perfect for us. This was a vaction for us and our daughters, one of whom brought her BF. The bedrooms are layed out so that each room has a degree of privacy. The pool was perfect and the location made trips into the country side very easy. We also took the train for Florence from Chuisi which was also very convenient. Raffele was the a perfect host, his tomatoes and basil a treat, and his lovely wife made us a delicious dinner our first night. Would highly recommend this house and location!

We were a group of eight (extended family from the US gathering together for vacation). This home provided us with the most wonderful experience in Tuscany. There was plenty of space for sleeping as well as gathering together as a group (both indoors and outdoors). The house was very clean and so charming. They property manager was very responsive to any questions we had. The pool is huge and perfect for cooling off after a day of sightseeing-definitely our kids’ favorite part. Just perfect!
The villa exceeded our expectations. It was beautifully located and in immaculate condition. It had everything we needed and the pool was cleaned every morning. Pool towels were even provided. The owner was incredibly helpful and brought us fresh fruit and vegetables from his garden, also his own olive oil. His daughter cooked us a wonderful meal one night and was on hand for babysitting if needed. We were a group of 8 adults and one toddler and we all had the most wonderful holiday. We visited Siena & Montepulciano and had two mornings at the local thermal spa, Terme Theia which was only a 10 minute drive away; there were even childrens facilities there. All in all it was just a perfect holiday

Off the beaten path
This property was off the beaten path for sure, we had to drive absolutely everywhere. The property was beautiful and well maintained, and we wish we could have taken advantage of the beautiful pool, but we had weird weather. The property manager was able to assist us if we needed anything at all, and he was always available and quick! The only downside was, we got pegged with a cleaning fee when he came to check-us out. We were not aware of it because we booked through the APP and not on the actual website. Upon investigation, we compared the two and realized the app was missing information. So beware. Obviously we paid him, and were upset about it, but the property manger threw in a bottle of wine as a gesture of good will.

The house was just what we expected. Raffaelle was very helpful with our questions, and very quick to respond to everything. It would have been useful to have a house manual to inform us of the facilities. We found the safe when we were leaving. The pool was a delight. Thank you.

Amazing experience in Tuscany with wonderful villa and owner
This villa has it all, real Tuscan decor, amazing views, a pool, and a great location! We spent a month in this villa as a family of seven - with three kids - and could not have been happier. Raffael, the villa owner, is incredibly generous, sharing wine, limoncello made from lemons on his property, vegetables grown on the property, and olive oil made from his own olives. He also made us handmade pizzas from a pizza oven on the property for dinner while we were there. This villa had charm, and I had read in an earlier review that people working on the property became part of that charm and experience, and they could not have been more correct. We began to look forward to seeing Raffael each day and having time for a quick chat with him. We were also incredibly fortunate to meet his wife, daughter (who cooked a meal and babysat for us) and his friends. We were also connected with a local cook, Averino, who was beyond talented. Everything he cooked was delicious. Raffael recommended us to some amazing local places - wineries and restaurants - and we were treated like royalty at each of those locations because we told them we were staying at Il Biancospino (Raffael's villa). It was an amazing month in Italy and if we every have the opportunity to go back to Tuscany, we would only consider staying here.

Lovely week in the Tuscan countryside
Our week at Il Biancospino (finally looked it up--The Hawthorn in English) was wonderful for so many reasons--the incredible beauty of Tuscany, fascinating hill towns, our entire family being together for the week--but Mr. Raffaele's hospitality and the farmhouse were chief among them. First of all, the location is great. It has a panoramic view of the area and feels private and remote, yet is only 3 km from Chianciano and the old town (not to mention a very good supermarket, Coop). The farmhouse was spacious and comfortable, and it was so nice to have the private pool at which to relax and refresh. It is also clearly a property that is still worked--Mr. Raffaele has olive trees, an extensive garden, and keeps bees--and while that aspect of it was a bit unexpected when we first arrived, we soon found it to be part of the comfort and charm of the place. And Mr. Raffaele himself was wonderful--he greeted us with a bottle of prosecco, beer, and some of his own olive oil, arranged to have Averino, a fantastic chef, prepare two meals for us, and set up a wine tasting at La Fontanelle in Chianciano through his friend Hector. He was attentive and responsive to our needs during the week without being intrusive. It was a great week--we highly recommend the property!
