Considering the hotel is in the heart of Chicago, the price for a room is super affordable, nice breakfast each day, valet parking people are very friendly, everyone, all the staff is friendly, professional, knowledgeable, helpful, and nice. The room was a little bit smelly, although is newly renovated, I think they didn’t change the carpet, or because we couldn’t open the windows. Also, the trash and towels were not change daily and the coffee and glasses were not replaced. I guess, they had coffee downstairs for breakfast. The elevators are secure, you need to use a card to go up and down. Although, there are many homeless people around downtown, I was not afraid to walk around. All in one, I highly recommend the stay – very closed to so many attractions, walking distance.

1 hour delay at check-in, and no refund! If you check out late, you get charged, but if they don’t check you in on time, you get nothing?! We had an even to go to, and were offered no option but to sit around in a poorly Ari-conditioned lobby along with its many others, because the system was down and they could not check anyone in. Change in the shared bathroom if you must…. The AC units in rooms are very loud!! If you enjoy AC/DC soundtrack playing on low as background music, you might be ok with it. We could not sleep well. All this hotel has going for it is location. Stay somewhere else!

We really enjoyed the location, the rooms are tiny, but to be expected downtown. The air conditioner didn't seem to work properly and when you're spending $500 a night I would have expected more than it being stuck around 73 degrees.

Sunday, July 28, 2024 was a disaster. I was in room 408 which is on the eastern side of the building. At 2 AM it sounded like they were tearing the sides of the building. It went on for about 15 minutes. Then, at about 4:30 AM, a garbage truck was picking up garbage in the alley below and it sounded like a jet plane was taking off. It is a good location, and the building is a former Chicago auto club building which is kind of charming. I hate noisy hotels.
